Hello I have a 1986 f250 4x4 diesel super cab 6.9 idi. I want to put in a solid axle. What years would be a direct bolt in for this truck. From what I understand it is a direct unbolt and bolt in swap.

I put new drums on the back when I rebuilt the axle and they grab pretty good. I braked a little too hard slowing down lol

nice to see it on the road.... any blowby? some claim that blowby is present on these engines from the factory. Mine has always had some blowby but runs strong.
@bullford82183 жыл бұрын
It’s got some blow by as it always has.

@@bullford8218 how many psi are you seeing 15 or so? (turbo)
@bullford82183 жыл бұрын
15 easily on light acceleration. It’ll make well past 30 when given the “full onions.”

Hi I have a 94 Ford f150 2wd 4.9l and want to do a 4bt Cummins swap and was wondering how did you mount it to the frame did you make the mounts or did you buy them if don't mind me asking
@bullford82183 жыл бұрын
I used pre 1987 300 i6 lower frame mounts, Anchor 2469 rubber mounts and then the upper portion is made to match the angle and position of the rubber mounts. On the rubber mounts, I filled in the sides with polyurethane to keep it from over stretching and tearing. Autoworld diesel converions has a nice set of mount kits for 4bt and 6bt. They use solid polyurethane mounts which are great for standing up to the power, but they are horrible for vibration dampening. For those I recommend using 2710 rubber mounts with the autoworld kit.
