How are these Diesel-Electric locomotives manufactured by the Germans soo silent!!! The Indian Railways uses the WDP/G-4 class of Diesel-Electric locomotives from EMD USA, they are too loud and sound like a jet engine at full notch

this is not diesel-electric. its a fully electric loco with small 350kw diesel motor inside

I will say though, a bi-mode Taurus would be even better than this. They should start converting some Taurus locos that they don't need, and export some of them to the UK!
