I think it’s pretty much a given that Brissett will start this season. Pats are a year from being competitive. Considering that and Maye is only 21, I see Maye sitting out the season unless he shows something special in the pre season

Love this Video! However, On the Pats(as a pats fan), Drake Maye is a project QB that probably won't start day 1. He will probably be a backup to Brissett & have some time to develop. Yes, the O Line is trash as well, but this is the Pats in full rebuild mode now. they got all the pieces they needed from this draft. So I'd say, Maye's situation is a C tier, maybe B tier (but that's a reach).

But Bo Nix should be turned around quickly by Sean Peyton. Caleb Williams has the talent, but not the coaching & front office (which is questionable). As I've stated, the pats are in full rebuild. So yea, offensive talent is lacking, but building up. Maybe next time read the room before answering.

I think it's the worst situation for Michael Penix to be on the Falcons who already have a QB. It's good to have younger guys like JJ McCarthy and Drake Maye sit before getting to start. But Micheal is a guy who should start immediately because of his experience, and personally, I think he's more than capable of being a great NFL QB in his rookie season. The only reason people didn't think he was gonna be picked highly was his age and injury past. But he's been healthy for the last two seasons and I'm not too worried about that. The falcons are one of my favorite teams but I wish they didn't have Kirk Cousins or let someone else pick Mike

1:53 -- I'd say you could call Andrew Luck's initial situation pretty good for a #1 overall pick, considering it was to a Colts team that'd made the playoffs for a then-record 9 seasons from 2002-10. They were only in that draft position ( #SuckforLuck ?) because Peyton Manning missed the whole 2011 season, as opposed to most teams that go from bad to worse until they hit rock bottom to get the top pick.

KJ was a WR3, and his celling is lower end WR2. He just doesn't have what you need to be a great WR in the league and the fact that the Vikings are one of the best teams when it comes to developing WRs, and even they stuck him at WR3, even when JJ was out, tells you a lot about KJ.

Taking Penix was the right move. Cousins won't win you a Superbowl but he will make sure you won't have another top 10 draft pick for the next 2 years. I agree with them taking Penix and sitting him under the Cousins learning tree. As for his contact. That was what it took to get him Atlanta. If he had taken the 90m 3 year deal with New England, they would of still taken maye and just did the same thing Atlanta is doing.

I gotta disagree with u as a Washington fan. We're atleast a B. Terry is def a number 1 receiver. Austin Ekeler gives Daniels someone to pass to on the short game. Ertz is solid and a veteran. We also got Brob whos a dog and Jahan Dotson who has a lot of potential. We also could possibly snag Aiyuk since him and daniels seem to be hella close and our gm is from he 49ers front office. Marcus Mariota is also the perfect mentor for Daniels as he lit had the same situation as him. I think we got a lot of potential but thats just me

I think you're drastically underselling the patriots situation At best Maye is walking into a scenario where the pats have selected their true 1 and 2 at wide reciever who are both complimentary styles to the way he plays vs the worst case scenario where they still have no real offensive playmakers Either scenario he is getting reps with brand new guys from day one...the same age and potential as him starting from day one of camp...if they all pan out they'll all be in sync Nothing beats JJs scenario but pats are not a D.

People have to STOP saying that Sean Payton discovered Drew Brees. He did not! He already was a pro bowl QB with a season with a rating of 105. At that time, you could count the number of players on one hand who had done that. Drew Brees made Sean Payton, not vice versa.

Brees had been to one Pro Bowl and played so poorly that the Chargers used a first overall pick to replace him. Not one person with an ounce of sanity watched Drew in San Diego and thought he'd be a Super Bowl MVP and a first ballot Hall of Famer. Yes, Payton made Brees, and no amount of revisionism is going to make that not true.
