Thanks for the review! I was thinking that on your next Pod ;-) you could cut a hole on the left side of the case at the back instead so that the USB connector of the power supply board is flush with or slightly protruding from the side of the case. That way it would be easy to connect/disconnect the cable? Please don't take my comment as negative, I don't think there has ever been a DIY project I've done myself that after I was done I didn't think of a way I could have done things better or at least easier! lol :-)

Thanks John! That was my original plan, but a local guy wanted $250 to laser cut the opening for the USB port. DC prices-haha. Maybe I’ll take my chances with the dremel for the next one, but it’s a little shaky free-handing it.

@@resonant_space Whoa! $250?! I think I would just drill a round hole big enough for it to fit through before I paid that much! ;-) Actually I think the Pod metal is probably thin enough to use a nibbling tool on it? Like #2 in the video linked below which are only $10 to $15: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnqboIeJl9yJjZo

This idea is brilliant! Looks like it would be fairly easy to modify the design so that a USB jack is mounted on the rear of the pod, and the power wires just run to where the jack would normally be mounted on the bus board, if you wanted it to look super clean. Thanks for sharing this info.

Do you know if the Pittsburgh modular sv-1 will fit in this case?
@resonant_space5 жыл бұрын
If you used a Pod 48X, you could fit the SV-1, but I think it’s too deep for the shallow pods.

resonant_space Thank you. I’ll look into the 48x pod.

Hi, do you have a direct link to the power supply? Can't seem to find it. Best, Alex
Why the laser cut 4MS logo on the case is in reversed position? A defect?

My guess is a manufacturing mistake. It's a minor detail, so I haven't given it a second thought.

Just running across this video. It’s smart you wanted to use your own power solution. The 4ms power option is imho is noisy trash. Every power option 4ms has puts out so much noise and should not be explored. Also serendipitously, I went to the make noise skiff and solved all of my noise issues

The tapped screw holes don't look even across to my eye? Any problems with mounting modules?
