I always put the clamps back in the same position unless the factory put them in a pita position, then I’ll move it lol, great video sir 👍😁

Cleaned my resivor after watching video and Cleaned throttle body at same time. Idle working much better made job easier removing air filter box allows more room removing resivor.

Great video. Thank you. I removed the reservoir on another 4runner I had and it was totally clogged, so I will remove it on my 2001 runner when I flush the system. BTW, is your 4runner turbo-charged? Thought I saw that in your vid.

I love your videos man. I’ve been wrenching on these old 3rd gen’s for a long time, but occasionally I’ll run into something I haven’t messed with like this job here and your videos never disappoint!

I’m so glad you took the reservoir off and showed the o-ring and how dirty your screen was. I considered a fluid flush because my pump has been whining if I steer too quickly and now I see how a clogged screen could be creating vacuum and causing air to get sucked around the 25 year old o-ring and into my system. I will also take my reservoir off, clean the screen, and change the o-ring when I flush mine. I also appreciate how you stated the amount of fluid it took. Thanks for the great video! It was the most helpful one I found on this topic. And I also put hose clamps back in the same position : )

Great video, beautiful truck. Was there a noticeable difference in steerability?

Fresh fluids are always nice. I still need to do diffs and Tcase. Everything else on my truck is good. Not looking forward to the dreaded valve cover gaskets on mine lol just like every toyota over 100k.

If you ever really need to torque a fastener and can't get an actual tq wrench in a location, but can get a ratchet like you had, you can use a fish scale and some math to get a tq level applied. .02 And yes, I do put spring clips back where they came off using the indentations in the hose. : )
