Koko is amazing! Thank you for sharing this race, she has such a beautiful stride. I hope she is recovering well from her recent injury too.

She must have aimed for a fast time, as she went on her own quickly....in Championships races are tactical...can she deal with that? Or will she alwyas need a fast race from the start more or less? Anyone ?
@sarahrybak19204 жыл бұрын
She had an eye set on the European record, and she's a natural front runner and likes going out fast. Obviously in championship races you can't run like that but last year she won bronze so she's tactically smart when she needs to be.
@bartolo4983 жыл бұрын
She is extraordinary as a front runner, probably the best since Ayana. In 2019 she ran 14:26 NR at the German national champs and lapped the entire field except for the second placed runner. I am not sure if anyone else has ran such a time basically solo. When she focussed still on the 1500m, she ran 3:59 with a negative split winning by 10 seconds and leading after the first lap at the German champs 2017 (the video is still on youtube). Tactically she is not the strongest runner and her very long stride is not an advantage in a packed field, neither has she the best kick on the last lap (although she has run ca. 60 sec. final laps) but the got the bronze in Doha as well as 2nd and 3rd places in very strong DL races in 2017 and 2019.
