Great looking!. I've owned my 2008 4Runner for almost 15 years, no problems at all with regular dealer servicing. Everything still looks, works and drives like new. Love the power lift gate window. Even the paint (Salsa Red Pearl) shines like new.

Sweet! Love the color too! I just got my ‘05 limited, 4x4 v6 Leather interior in decent shape but I immediately bought good seat covers. I’m keeping this vehicle for life. It’s a ton of fun to mod!

No I didn’t. I put on total chaos lower control arms and got an alignment done at a specialty alignment shop and the got it so it almost never rubs.

Hey dude, how did you seal up those headlights? I have those same exact ones on my 04 4runner and the passenger side has been filling up with moisture. TIA!

I used permatex glass sealant- when I got mine I heated them up in the oven and pulled the lenses off and then just added a bunch of sealant. I just passed a year with no issues… knock on wood

After watching your vid you mentioned transmission issues. I’m going down this rabbit hole myself. What exactly was going on with the rig?

My disclaimer is that I am no mechanic lol.. but from my understanding the torque converter is failing to lock up; meaning the torque converter is trying to lock into a higher overdrive gear and unable to do so. That’s why if you accelerate quickly or manually shift your transmission it won’t happen, bc the truck never goes into overdrive. Overdrive is basically a change in gear ratio so that your drive shaft spins faster than the engine. This is supposed to improve gas milage at higher speeds. This is my very basic understanding of what’s actually happening. Does that answer your question?

What’s your mpg with that bumper

I’m getting 16mpg.. so not too bad. In my experience, the thing that kills the mpg on these 4Runners and tacomas are heavy wheels and tires. I had a 5th gen 4Runner that was built similarly, but I had 10 ply tires and I was getting 11mpg. The tires I put on this are just standard load and I seem to be doing ok so far!

@@salsarunner that’s really good. I’m on 295-75-16 10ply and when I had my bumper on it was getting somewhere around 9-10 city and 12-13 highway. That was with a bad wheel bearing too. Gonna have to get lighter tires for everyday driving. Thanks

I am local to Washington state I been looking for a 4Runner like this, but my god they are freaking expensive especially older ones these things do hold their value that is for sure. Where can I look to find a 4Runner locally in wa state. Sick ride as well.

The are stealth custom series Gen5 wheels. 17x9 -38 offset. I purchased mine second hand on offer up, I think new you buy them directly from their website: www.stealthcustomseries.com
