4th Gen Ram Tow Hook and Light Bar Review

Today we just wanted to show off some new items that we recently built and installed for our 2013 Ram 3500 truck. Our good friend Matt from Twisted Wrench Garage helped up design some awesome tow hooks/shackle mounts. He is currently selling them from his facebook and ebay pages linked below! It adds security to the light bar. And you can flat tow your ram with that hook set up.

i saw a video the other day explaing how our ram tow hooks are bolted to our bumper brackets, not the frame. this guy had his truck towed and he used the tow hooks to secure his truck to the flatbed, when he got to his destination his bumper was twisted and touching the fenders. use your hitch.

they arent bolted to your bumper. they are bolted directly to the front of your frame. maybe on new trucks or on the 1500s they are.

yeah I was going to ask the same question, about a guy that posted a vid saying that his toe hooks were bolted to the bmper and not the frame!?

Mine are bolted directly the front of the frame. He could have possibly had a 1500.

Why couldn't you use the stock tail hooks. I don't like the shackles. As you said, if you leave them on they flop around. OR, you can't leave them on permanently.

Rough Country sell mounts for like a 24 inch light bar. Wanted to run a larger bar and didnt wanna cut down the stock tow hooks. i use them often snd dint want to damage them

I wonder if you can get the rough country 40 inch light bar mounts for the bumper and just switch them around and try and fit maybe a 32 inch
