Ms. Kim i picked your channel up about a year ago now and have thoroughly enjoyed watching your work. This project is one of my favorites because your personal struggles reminds me of when I'm doing my leather work and I'm trying to design something new. After 50 years I still find myself beating myself up with the woulda coulda shoulda syndrome. Lol my dad still tells me this is a mark of a perfectionist. Your truly an artist and it shows. Using the cake mold made some nice resin blanks...It's always a learning process...you should be proud of what you've done here, it worked out in away that you wanted. You do excellent work Kim and you should put yourself down or second guess yourself. You are doing something I am not able to do at the moment and want to learn to do. I used to say that to the soldiers I trained, in the NZ Army we lifted peopel up to the standard and encouraged them to excel. That is a great result.

Don't worry about the length, I love to see people turning wood and resin. I have a friend from church with a lathe and other tools that said I can use to learn with. So as soon as I have my hip replacement, July 16, and get better I can get over there and start to learn. I already learned toolmaking, so I know how to turn metal, so I have an idea how to do it. The difference is that wood is turned with your free hand, metal you put the tool in a chuck and make your cuts. Anyway I tend to talk to much too. God bless and Happy 4th of July.
