Wow Kim this is exquisite ,love the shape of the vase first ,secondly I think the Acrylic pour over it is totally gorgeous. It looks so much prettier and arty on a curved surface. First time I believe I have seen it done this way . And of course the resin coats not only protect the surface ,but it also gives almost a 3D effect to the underlying painted surface..It’s different,Arty and I love it 😀

@@KimTippin Do you mind if I pick your brain a little? If you don't reply, I'll take it as a yes, you mind! I'm just barely getting started working with resin, and obviously have a lot to turn.... Sorry, I mean learn! I'm really taking it slow fora couple of reasons. One, I'm on permanent disability and don't do anything fast! B, I don't have a lathe or any other big power tools (my Dr said nothing with sharp edges). 3, it's bloody expensive! I'm starting off small with just hand and rotary tools. Why do you use Total Boat? How deep have you gone with Total Boat? Why pick slow vs fast curing? Why is abbreviation such a long word? Do you stabilize your wood? If not, do you have minions that do it for you? If you could answer some, if not all of these questions, I'll have more for you later. Sorry, my inside voice got out again. I meant to say that I would be forevermore appreciative. Actually, that's a very long time come to think of it. How about for at least a few days... Cheers, Jonathan

Very interesting concept. When I first looked at the the final product I had ambivalent thoughts about it being a "painted" turned piece.
