Beautiful trip through there..... Just spent 4 days meandering from Tom Groggin, over Pinnibar to Wheelers Creek and beyond. The crossing at the Murray was so low (mid Feb) it could've been done in a Subaru. Great video..... GREAT DEFENDER!

I've just found your channel and its great to watch. I appreciate your Defender is setup specifically for the job at hand without anything for show that you'll often find on other 4WD channels. I've done almost the exact trip you outlined in this particular video with my Father about 10 years ago only we were able to cross the river at Tom Groggin (no risks taken, the water level was just lower). Happy to say that the countryside appears to be very similar if not exactly the same as when we went through, including the state of repair of the tracks. Doesn't appear to be too much damage from idiots bashing their trucks through obstacles a million miles an hour. Anyway, congratulations Stefan on your excellent videos. I look forward to viewing many more of them. Cheers.

that really depends on your truck, my one averages around 13l on the road but that’s on 35's with a TD5 engine, remap and variable vain turbo

Great videos especially this one. Does seem a little odd that you all travel alone in separate vehicles, Bad breath perhaps ?
@AlloffroadAu8 жыл бұрын
+Laurence Cahir good point actually, One reason is I that we all enjoy the driving of our trucks. My single travel set up is so that I have nothing on the roof (except a Jerry) but that means my truck is fully packed inside and accessible according to my needs. The main important reason is safety though, 3 cars is good number for remote travel in regards to recoveries or if ever the need arises to get help, parts etc.

Its not just fun driving your own rig, it's also ALWAYS better to have more than one rig in back country. You can tackle a lot more obstacle if yoh know your partner is there to get you out of trouble if need be.

in what regards? off road capability probably one of the best of the older style trucks, reliability of the TD5 Defender is pretty good if you look after it, the Defender is a blank canvas and well suited for touring so many mods available for it
