Have a look at old Henry Ford designed setup used on the rear suspension on a Model A. You triangle mount both arms from the outer edges of the axle to a common centre ball mount in the body. Does away with all the bearings in the centre as you did. Design really goes back to the horse and buggy era.

@reviewaccount4694 жыл бұрын
Exactly. A vertical load will more effectively transmit the force on the shock and it would work out to be much less rigid. A perfectly vertical shock may jack the body higher up in the air than they would like though unless they design around.

Another option you could play with is "1/4 elliptical springs". It's basically half of a leaf spring for each corner. Also as far as sway bars go, they make small sway bars for the front of sport quads. That would be perfect sized if you need one.

With the lean on those shocks, you have decreasing spring rate, meaning the more body roll it sees, the less the shocks/springs will resist roll. If looking to reduce rate, just move the lower mount closer to the chassis centerline, but either way you want it to continually get closer to 90* until bump limit is met, not get farther from 90*.
