Products I wish I saw more often were options for the minimalist/compact adventurers. Multi-use items, ultralight gear, carbon fiber and aluminum over steel. Being able to sleep in the back of an 80 series with all the gear you need is something I've been trying to accomplish as opposed to heavy utes, roof top tents, back full of drawers, and trailers. I'd love for you to do a video/series on something like that.

Drifta gear is pretty awesome. I use it kayaking, 4wding and camping. Some of it is on the expensive side, but a lot of it is priced pretty well. They are innovating and thinking all the time......started out in a garage as a one man operation, now employing over 70 people in a small country town, manufacturing products using Australian made raw materials. What's not to like!

You asked about my favorite camping gear? Well, here in the USA, we don’t have nearly as much great gear as you do in Australia, and when I saw your Bedourie, I had to have one! Unfortunately shipping to the states was not an option, so I had a cousin in Brisbane buy it and ship it all the way to Arizona! We use it all the time and love it! I may be putting in a Drifta order next since the ship to the USA!

do drifta have any plans for an alloy draw system like RV as dads 200 doesn't have a gvm upgrade and we cant get one because it lifts the car too much for city car parks. so plywood or steel is too heavy and would put us at gvm without load. their design is really cool but a little heavy for our application.

One question I have in particular is why don't we see the same diesel options available in the United States and does this really matter that much for someone looking for a new vehicle? Could you address why Diesel engines are so prevalent in AUS and if it really makes a huge difference for those looking to wheel in the states? I'm leaning towards the Ford Ranger but might wait to see if a diesel option comes out next generation.

Sorry guys, I do not understand your critics! There is no free lunch in the world ! And Shaun would not be Shaun if there would not be some sort of income for him. In my books Luke has done an enormous job building up his company and developed all such nice products. Developing products cost also in OZ money Ok! Australian canvas too. For sure everting can be cheaper made one way or the other copying and using less quality material. Nothing wrong with less quality products and lower price’s, as long as it serves your individual purpose. It comes all back to your budget and willingness. Spending the hard earned cash for top quality and support local businesses vs. overseas factories and middle men and warehouse companies specially in such difficult period of time never experience before. Cheers
