I’m very impressed that this guy, as young as he is, has the mechanical and designing aptitude on such an appreciably high level. Doesn’t show if he drew this out on paper, but from all indications he sees it in his mind and just goes for it. Impressive indeed.

Great work! That is my favorite lawnmower as well. I have had mine for 15yrs. My kids are grown now but when they were young they used to play on it all the time. It sat for 5yrs and they asked to get it running again. So I put a new 18hp on it. It was the biggest that would fit without cutting anything. Nice build!!

I would make it all around racing mower that you can take down the streets and race with but a mud mower would be cooler because you could have some big tractor treads on the back and sling mud everywhere but it's really your decision if you wanna sling mud or book it down the streets.

I have 5 of those, and craftsman. Be sure to save what you cut out, when it comes time to put it all back it will be easier to make a bracket with the original steel. Looks good, I say make it a all around smaller wheel rig. 4x4 and gear it to crawl. Should be fun.
@hughjaskoch54564 жыл бұрын
Eh. A 2 stroke crawler? Those polaris triple 2 strokes are meant to BLAST. Checkout videos of a Indy Storm, likely the sled this was pulled from.

I think stretching it would be a good idea. Might as well go the mud bog route. Don’t know if you’ll be able to keep the center of gravity low enough for anything else. Love the channel! Keep up the great work!
@brandonhaines19204 жыл бұрын
That's what I was thinking too. I would say lower the whole thing 2-3 inches and stretch it at least 4-5 inches. I run a racing mower with a 42 inch between front and backs running a 212 predator with a torque converter. Still able to get the front end off the ground because my center of gravity is so high. With something that has that amount of torque, I would recommend a pull off kill switch like they put on jetskis so the shut off if you fall off.

It’s a “triple,” as in 3 cylinders. A “triplet” is a person born at the same time as two others from the same womb... Also, turn the motor 90 degrees so the clutch is on the left side of the frame. Mount it like that. It won’t be as compact in the frame, however you’ll never be able to run both clutches with a belt as you have it sitting. Look up schematics for how snowmobiles are built- cvt clutch’s, and secondary clutch mounts to a Jack shaft- which then goes into the “gear box.” Those pipes are designed for that motor and to get the most out of that motor you need to run them all.
