Well she is looking pretty darn good to me. I love the weathering job on it. Lights are always a hassle. But I think if you were to add a old yellowish light it would really add to the look. Great run and seem to be capable(ish). lol Thanks for sharing. Hope the move is going ok. ;)

I've actually got rear lights in there too, but they just don't show in daylight so far, unfortunately. Still plenty of detailing to go... and yes, capable(ish) is its middle name! 🤣👍

I was very impressed with this run. We all know it's not the best crawler but it did very well on that tricky terrain, and looked good doing it. I expect the out takes are no different from any of your other RC's. I'm pleased you have grown to like it. After all, where's the fun traversing over the Welsh countryside with an RC that can do it easily.

Couldn't agree more! I like a challenge. I just want it to work as well as it can - I'm not expecting miracles, just scale performance... from a clapped out road car that's had a hard life off-road... 😎👍

Hi mate, well it seems you made some great progress with this quirky little CC01! TBH that terrain looked pretty tricky to me, but seeing the outtakes shows what really goes on when running one of these, I have many similar clips after my Camel Defender run! Love what you did with the body, the single spotlight working was very fitting! I was intrigued by your sticker choice - the eat, sleep, sleep on the door, the For Sale sign and the upside down "High Roller" caught my attention! Hope you are settled in and get more time to make content, I've missed my Mid-Wales fix lately! All the best, mate, looking forward to your next Tamiya RC! :))

Hi Mark! Yeah this spot is actually seriously steep, with just moss and loam for traction and a million bramble stalks to get stuck on. I really need to find some suitable new spots to film in, ones with nice big views! As for the stickers, they just made me smile, and I tried to make them suitable for a driver who clearly hasn't looked after his car. Anyway, hope you're well, and I'm looking forward to my next Tamiya too!

Erm... I think I got them on eBay, though it's possible I've since seen Injora doing them? They were certainly cheap, though they look great if you ask me (and do just fine as well).

I haven't! That's just solid axle though, right? I wanted the CC-01 for the IFS, really. I'd still really like the Jeep Wrangler body, too.

I checked that out (didn't know about it until you mentioned it) but it doesn't look like my cup of tea. Looks more like a monster truck chassis than a crawler, and from old forum posts it seems it was behind the curve even in 2008... I'd love an old Hilux (I drooled over those as a kid), whatever the performance, but there's no way now anymore than there was then - the prices are still way too high for me!
