I have the arb twin compressor but I am getting the Everglades which has the snorkel. The so the snorkel compartment under the hood is in that area. I’ll have to find another location for my compressor

The same is true with the Bronco Raptor. They have a bigger air intake system which gets in the way. If we get enough demand we can look into making a version for the Everglades/Raptors. For now you can always put one in the rear of your truck.

Great video, but by any chance where did you find the right side bracket to mount the switch to the side of the ARB Compressor?

We manufacturer a switch/coupler mount that works with the Broncos: www.4x4truckleds.com/kr-off-road-arb-compressor-air-coupler-switch-bracket-for-2021-ford-bronco/

Where do we get that bracket used in this video. It seems much easier to install than the 4c4 bracket

So when he cuts off the red/yellow wire he fails to mention he gets this from the harness he says you are not using as this is for the air lockers. When adding the yellow/red wire with the diode which end is going into the add a fuse? For a video that is supposed to explain how to do something a lot is left out.

Every installation is different. There are instructions with your ARB Compressor and with our kit if you plan to use a switch. Basically, the purple wire off the small harness is the trigger wire that turns the compressor on. Give this positive power and the compressor will turn on. So you can wire the purple wire to a switch that makes/brakes power to turn it on and off.

@@4x4TruckLEDscom That I understand. However, I am following your video and would like to do it as shown to mount the switch next to the compressor. Therefore, I need to know "when he cuts off the red/yellow wire he fails to mention he gets this from the harness he says you are not using as this is for the air lockers. When adding the yellow/red wire with the diode which end is going into the add a fuse?" I have the purple wire hooked up to the switch from the harness that connects to the compressor and a black ground as shown above. He runs a wire, using a piece of the yellow/red wire in a direction not shown, to the add a fuse. If you would watch the video maybe we would be on the same page

@@HankMarducas This is not our video, it's just a youtuber who used our system and did his own installation. Every installation will be different. He grabbed the GROUND for his switch (so that it lights up) off the small harness and he got the power leg from his fuse panel with a fuse-tap. You need at LEAST a positive leg on your switch to supply power to the purple lead. He has a red/yellow wire because he re-used wire he had laying around. It could be any color wire since you are providing power. You have to provide power to the switch via whatever method you want (when we do installations, we run a dedicated power line with a fuse off the battery, some people use a fuse tap)

@@4x4TruckLEDscom Fair enough. I bought a kit from you after watching this and due to his lack of instructions had a few questions. I have never installed a compressor like this and wanted to make sure it was all done correctly. Thank you for the explanation

Sadly I just received my compressor and K2 bracket and the bracket doesn’t fit with a AFE CAI…. now what

Contact the vendor you purchased it from. If it's new they might take it back. Our own website does state it works with most intakes but not all intakes.

Did you bring power in to the switch? This is an informational video and now a 100% start to finish guide. You need to bring constant 12VDC power to one leg of the switch, which will close it's circuit when activated, sending that 12VDC over to the purple wire, which will trigger the compressor to come on.
@awbrown3272 жыл бұрын
Could you have reversed the diode (it's built into the red-yellow wire)? Diodes don't work if the wrong side is facing the positive terminal. If you cut apart the wiring like in the video, it would be easy to flip it by accident.
