Way to go!!! 😃👍🏼 I really like to see someone on the calm water today hooking up those fish. I grew up as a kid fishing in the ocean. Caught my share of nice fish, I must say. Looks like the halibut are everywhere all over the place. I’m in the Bay Area and they’re everywhere. Glad to see great numbers of fish 🐟

where do you even know where to go? Does the boat come with a fish finder or do you just randomly go out there?

The guys at the rental have a map, and they will point you where to go to find them

I’m thinking of renting a boat with my boy this weekend , first time ever driving a boat lol is it hard or would you say pretty much anyone can do it ?also you got any tips it’s both of our first time
@pacific_cliffs23632 жыл бұрын
Yea bro, its pretty easy. They give you a quick coarse on the the wharf rental place on what to do. You will get it right away, guaranteed. When you steer you just move the tiller in the opposite direction you want to go. Thats pretty much it. Good luck!

Nice score however would highly suggest buying a insulated fish kill bag or cooler vs risking hanging fish off the side of the rental. There are simply to many white sharks these days that have learned to steal fish. Had a big shark chow a halibut up while reeling it in a few day ago this encounter just south from the mile buoy area.

Be careful keeping Rock cod when you have more than one pole per person in the water. Big ticket!
@pacific_cliffs23632 жыл бұрын
no rock cod where kept. thanks.
@josephsaeteurn91582 жыл бұрын
i thought you can have multiple pole until you actually land and keep a rod-cod then you can't use 2 poles anymore..
@pacific_cliffs23632 жыл бұрын
@@josephsaeteurn9158 youre correct. you can have as many poles as you can handle when fishing halibut outside of the SF bay.
