You can also use glyph of starfall so that it doesn't hit all the mines on IJ and immune 2/3 of you starfall ticks. Or on nazgrim in d stance when u still kill adds.

good guide. my moonkin alt is around 560. i have tried this solar opener and found that i am doing less damage doing everything listed. is it such a big diffrence in solar and lunar openers?

yeah Lunar is so much better than solar. Me on the otherhand opens like from neither lunar or solar i begin with 75 from lunar i pop starfall i do a starsurge then i dps in lunar pop starfall again my trinkets and meta gemm proccs i go all my cds celest and incarnation reapplying the dotts and do starfall again and spamm starfire and starsurge and there u have 2million burst. and u benefit one starfall more from what he said to do. Even with this guide, Balance Druid have a high skill ceiling, the only way to learn how to play a boomkin efficiently, you have to play the hell out of it.

things to add... Nature's vigil should be your default choice in 10 mans as the smart offhealing becomes really powerfull and hotw isnt really needed when using tranq on a raid. On a single target rotation all talents in the last tier are within 1% of each other damagewise. Doc on the other hand tends to pull ahead if you manage to get over 75% eclipse uptime like on fights with constant multidotting capabilitys and aoe (like for example protectors) yes it's hard to use but it should pull ahead damagewise then again it loses in utility so for progress hotw is a must in 25man and NV in 10 man.

Using DoC is not really viable at all and falls apart multi target. Nature's Vigil is very powerful in 10 man, but it's still inferior to HotW for dps (which is what you're there for). That's not to say you shouldn't use it when the extra healing is needed, but from a DPS perspective, it is considerably behind. There's a reason most top druids use HotW. (I have added a note about NV in 10 man for utility).

***** idd HOTW beats NV because of the 6% int in all time which gives you more crit and when u pop it u get insane healing for example the tranq is so strong.

Hey Evrelia quick question, You are 1 tick from Solar on your opener. Is there a reason you do that instead of starting in Solar. I would guess because off the one wrath cast? Am I correct?

You want to be one cast away so that you use the full duration of Nature's grace while in battle rather than waiting a few seconds.

while leveling a balance druid through dungeoning I've found my dps to be insanely weak. Mostly due to mobs dying to quick for me to able to cast anything else than dots. Am I doing anything wrong or is just simply the low level dungeons too easy to be able to play efficiently as a balance druid? This is really frustrating..

Hey Evrel. Awesome guide! has helped my dps out a lot. Was wondering if you had any tricks or tips for target switching for multi dots.. I have been having to click my tidy plate name frames and the boss frames and its a pain. I wish tab target was more effective because i feel clicking them is hurting my dps. Thanks!

First up I love the video, really helpful especially after returning to boom after a very long time. Anyone know what UI is being used in this video? I know some of the addons are skada, balance power tracker, and weak auras. What about the toolbars, map skins etc they look great. What raid frames are being used. Anyone know what weakauras is monitoring, whats the big tree stump on a 15sec cooldown? Would love a download of the UI please :)

you should not stack incarnation and celestial alignment like that. celestial alignment should first be used when you leave the solar eclipse otherwise you will not benefit from incarnation all the time

Scrub alert. In solar opener it is best to stack both cd's due to legendary meta and RPPM trinket procs, since this will cause your DoT's to have huge tics and proc a ton of shooting stars which under all these effects crit for well in the millions. Please do some research or play the spec for more than a month before you speak next time. I've played moonkin since the end BC, balance druid has never been in such a good spot as it is today, go learn it.

10296 is the GCD cap so you should just go for that if your able to reach 10289

Clint Martin It actually does compete at high Ilvl it actually beats Affliction man so im not quite sure what you are going on about. at 570 ilvl all specs become viable to a degree and close as hell in dps.

Whilst Simulations might say it compares - in reality it doesn't. It's an "ok" spec for sure, but even by admission of the developers, it is underpowered compared to Aff and Destro and there isn't any reason to play it unless you do so for fun. Anyone looking to min/max would be better playing another spec, so I didn't see the point in an advanced guide for the spec. You can find a written basic guide to it on evrelia.com though.
