This brings back a lot of memories. I did a 98 12v Cummins swap into a 92 F350. Complete with NV4500 and transfer case in a 2wd. On the back, you have an F7 Firecat. My dads last new sled was an F7 Firecat Patriot Edition. That was the second sled to scare me.

I just put new clutch plate in my 45 hp tractor. Its dual shaft. Found out a previous owner had flywheel skimmed and step between surfaces was 1mm too deep so pulled very tight dowels out, put in my lathe and tidies up flywheel face and then machined out part back to 35mm spec. My lathe and tractor were 35miles apart. Took flywheel with me and went down to clutch man and he did a mock setup and said it needed more off, so drive back to lathe set it up again and took it back to 34mm. Why the difference. The new linings are 3.5 mm instead of 4mm so two plates is that 1 mm. Grrr. Bolted back on tractor, lines up plate and spent three hours trying to get the shafts splines to align correctly. I couldnt lock the PTO spline drive together as it uses hydraulic pressure to make its own clutch lock. Three times we wheeled the front of tractor back and forth checking everything. Anyway got it eventually. All going now and working as it should. It was the forth time id done clutch in 11 years. A little trick. When I needed to drain all trans fluids because the feed pipe to front driven hydraulic I simply used a hose from the loader lift and snapped it back into the lever block and with engine running pumped the oil into a large pale and when it coughed turned tractor off. Had to drain all diesel too as have to take front fuel tank and steering column off to split. Bit annoying because with a minor bracket change would be much easier. Engineers v accountants lol

A piece of cloth screen door screen stretched across in front of the coolers will keep not only the bugs out of all the fins, but it will also keep rocks from being able to do so much damage to them as well. When it gets dirty you can simply rinse it off and remove the bugs and debris, and if it tears you simply replace it. Food for thought 🙂

When we were growing up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan they closed the change shack when the temperature hit -10° F. That meant that we then had the hockey rink all to ourselves. (Maybe I told you the story before.) . . . we did not notice the cold back in those days. I liked you bypassing the switch on the drill press.
