While living up in Anchorage, Alaska, my native relative offered me some raspberries that were growing wild in her yard. We dug them up with a shovel and planted them in my yard - only a few at the time. Well, those grew too and spread to so many and they did so well that it took up all the way across the yard! I saw that some raspberries were dark blue, but I didn't know they were called black raspberries. Well, now I know! Thank you!

It’s an amazing fruit. You can’t really get rid of it like bamboo and banana plants. They spread unless you get rid of all the roots. I have two blueberry bushes that are spreading also with a few blackberries that have sprouted from all those roots that we thought got rid of a few years ago.

Dr Li, I am 71 and I have never heard of a black rasberry, are black berries the same thing? Every time I go grocery shopping, I buy 32oz of strawberries, 18oz of black berries, 4qts of blueberries and if available I also get raspberries. I make a large fruit salad with all of these berries along with a banana or 2. I will add large amounts to a bowl of shredded wheat for breakfast. I also usually eat a bowl full instead of eating cookies etc. Also in spite of my age I do not take any medications. Last year I broke my leg and I had a fight with the hospital because they could not believe that I took no meds.

Caution, mango skin is hazardous for some people (I am one of them). Wikipedia’s mango page explains: “Contact with oils in mango leaves, stems, sap, and skin can cause dermatitis and anaphylaxis in susceptible individuals. Those with a history of contact dermatitis induced by urushiol (an allergen found in poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac) may be most at risk for mango contact dermatitis. Other mango compounds potentially responsible for dermatitis or allergic reactions include mangiferin. Cross-reactions may occur between mango allergens and urushiol. Sensitized individuals may not be able to eat peeled mangos or drink mango juice safely.”

I’m 75 years old and I have type 2 diabetes with diabetic neuropathy in my feet. I’m definitely going to try eating these fruits!!! I’d just prayed about getting rid of diabetes and healing the nerves in my feet!! I pray that this works for me! I’m wondering why the blueberries didn’t work for older folks? Why is that???

Go with your own intuition. Blue berries might not have the same effect on stem cells in older folks BUT along with the other fruits mentioned they have a beneficial effect on immunity & any number of other bodily functions. Also he hasn’t told us what other factors the studies controlled for, like carnivore vs plant based; some, little or no exercise, and masses of other factors that may have influenced absorption or conversion of the active compounds etc. Stay strong!

Thank you for sharing this gift of life, with us! I'm a gunshot survivor. I have nerve damage on the left side of my face (exit wound was right before the start of the ear canal; enyry was at the back of my head, at the base of my neck). It has been two years, I have improved but; am not restored. My vision is off...and my hearing is slowly improving. I am very emotional... I am crying as I type. The crazy part is nothing is wrong. T. M. I. Thank You. Hopeful that these will provide mild improvements, neurologically. 💜

@@Karenpayne47 well I can’t even touch her pie crust . 2 cups rhubarb 2 cups honey 1/2 cup water simmer over half hour keeping lid on helps break rhubarb down not so celery like texture. Add apple cider the natural kind not clear . Use 1/4 cup but add when warm and taste to favor. Cool add strawberries. Have raw sugar (not processed. Gives a great texture mix the cut strawberries and then sugar again to taste . Use a REAL butter crust recipe the sugar will melt crystallize in crust and will break the sharpness of the tang from mix. I haven’t perfected crust and she’s gone. , i made cobbler. And after a lot of sugar adding it made it EPIC and it was the largest dish ive made gone at banquet. People had 2nds and took some home . Good Cooking ( i. Don’t bake i cook , Like Grandma)

Berrihealth on Amazon supplies a lot of the labs that have done research on black raspberries in the US. I don't work for them, I just went through this a couple of years ago trying to find the best ones (they're difficult or impossible to get fresh in most places). I use the powder but there's a liquid extract as well. It's organic and it tastes very good but it ain't cheap.

When I by these even in a expensive supermarket today, they have hardly any taste at all.
