I'm a beginner in Graphic Design/Logo design and I really needed a complete explanation of what to give to the client. Thank you so much, but I also would like to ask if you should also include product mockups?
@jeshaiahbretz4320
@jeshaiahbretz4320 3 жыл бұрын
The mockups aren't necessarily important to give to clients as they likely won't use them. However, always provide your clients with mockups during the presentation of your logo so that they see it in context. If you are freelancing and can't do this in person, I would suggest sending mockups on your last revision before sending all deliverables. Clients need to be sold on the final logo before handing it over to them. Hope that helps :)

Loved this Will - thank you!! Although I have a question on color formats: Isn't it redundant to send over CMYK logo files if the SVG/EPS colors can just be changed? And even if they want to double check the CMYK/Pantone colors, can't they just reference the brand guidelines? I've been thinking about this for some time now - but maybe there's something I'm missing. Thanks again for all your info over the years!!!

Hey Will, Not sure if this is a stupid question but I noticed that for your reverse logos you have a black background. Do you save the logo with a black background as a jpg or was that just for visual purposes so viewers could see the white reverse logo asset that you were preparing? Also, do you have any videos that go through how to save logo files properly? Like minimum size artboard, saving for RGB vs CMYK, various ways to save the files, best practices.

Hi will, Awesome channel that you have here and better explanation of concepts when compared to other KZbinrs I have a few queries regarding this video 1. What about the identity designs like patterns and graphic elements ? How are we supposed to send that ? 2. While choosing the brand colour which colour mode should we look into first ? Pantone ,RGB or CMYK ? when I choose a colour from RGB in some cases I can't get a similar colour from the pantone books for printing purposes. Which pantone book do you use for this purpose Thank a lot

I like the idea of having assets with explanation for the client but brandox is pricey for me. I bought logo express a few years ago and only trying it out now! Great product though. Will here's a question for you.... when using logo express do you include the appropriate space around the logo (or icon or word-mark etc) so that the client doesn't need to worry about this part of the logo usage rules? Just curious thanks.

Ps the latest version of log packer bhas a second product and that is what you talked about. Having a place to store and share them. I think he did really well on expanding his product. That makes this extension so much better. Though i dislike it's another paid product. I hate payment's like this, basically a subscription l.

How important is it these days to supply a client with their logo in Pantone colors? Obviously they can look drastically different from their RBG or CMYK counterparts, which would mean creating the original design using Pantone colors to ensure consistency. What do you think?
@RomboutVersluijs
@RomboutVersluijs Жыл бұрын
You could have done better with rgb and CMYK explanat. It looked liek they where the same. Cmyk is not mixing 3 colors to get back. Rgb is light blending and CMYK is ink mixing

That commercial product to upload the logo in all formats doesn't make sense. You could easily drop in you Dropbox, send a link and it's basically the same, yet it's free. I understand you have sponsors, but your target seems starting up designers. Open source and free gets you farther. I've been helpful Ng and coding a free version of that logo packer extension. It has the basics, it's not as good as the paid. But it works and has all the basics one needs. It saves you $120

Nice video..!! I have a question.. I am stuck between buying an iMac 27" with 5700xt graphics card and a Macbook pro 16" i9 5500m. I know the iMac is lot more bang for buck but I want to know which one do you prefer. I am learning design and I also make travel videos. Those are my reasons to purchase this machine. Please suggest..

Hey guys I have a question. Once you deliver a design or logo to a client, what should I do if the client makes me do a whole bunch of changes. It can be tiring sometimes & annoying once delivering the design they like it but keep requesting to make small little changes. Is there a limit? Or can the client request any amount of changes to be done?
@MrSyngamer
@MrSyngamer 3 жыл бұрын
Always always always impose a maximum amount of change requests at the start of the project, write it in your contract. Its so that you can reign in these kinds of clients. If they MUST have more than the amount of changes you've provided start charging them. That'll make them stop with the requests.

@@MrSyngamer ohh okay thank you what is a good amount of changes ?
@MrSyngamer
@MrSyngamer 3 жыл бұрын
@@Sahrah3201 it honestly depends on you and what you feel comfortable providing your clients. 3-5 is a safe number I feel. Look up how to create design contracts and research about managing clients, I'm sure you'll get the answer that suits you. All the best.

But first and most important. Before you do all of this. Many clients will never look at guides, won't understand it and do their own thing. Only big job will appreciate all of this. Small clients don't want to pay for all of this because all of this takes time and costs them a lot of money. So... First thing you negotiate is price and what they actually want

Why do you purposely don’t mention PDF? I’ve only sent pdf’s with basic rules and versions all in one file, for so many years. Most clients have in-house designers and most don’t wanna pay anyway for a book of graphic standards, they only need that pdf with crucial info and in-house designers and printing companies get everything they need just from a pdf. IMO it’s only important that you deliver them expanded and locked vector files of the logo. If it’s a smaller company then I deliver all the specific versions and dimensions they need.
