I would kill to have Abhorash added to the game. Blood Knights are my favourite bloodline and Abhorash just being a decent guy with a strong sense of honour is cool to me. Perhaps he could have better ties/friendships with Bretons, since he had an oath of loyalty and a friendship with Giles de Breton.

I think the Lahmia are my favorite faction, since they are not so creepy like many of the Strigoi or Necrarch (different types of creepy, of course). Their approach of winning by intrigue and patience than by brutal force is also interesting. The Blood Knights seem for me not so much a faction who is build to conquer and create Empires since they are more driven by the desire to become the ultimate fighter. Carstein are not bad but I think we have too much at the moment.

Honestly it's a shame that we got basicly a bunch of the same hat vs a legendary lord for each bloodline. Vlad/manfred for carstein, big sis nephreitia, etc. Be much cooler than the same thing over and over. And they can really get more into their bloodlines as powers and factions. I imagine all kinds of altering parts to really add something to each one.

Blood knights could have an horde mechanic, which would differentiate them a lot of other Vampire campaigns. Also, their motivation of killing the best enemy possible doesn't really match with empire building imho

I would love a vampire-bretonian hybrid faction (lead by Mallobard and/or the Red Duke), that had a twisted chivalry meter to summon Abhorash instead of the Green Knight (You might have described this idea before).

If he only joins the Vampire knights factions like the Green Knight by using a chivalry mechanic, the chivalry could be the same as Brettonia, with massive penalties for fighting Brettonia and being evil. It might be too complicated just to summon Abhorash. Maybe Wallach Harkon would be more lore friendly, but he is just not as cool.

I would choose Konrad Von Carstein? He would play a very aggressive vampire campaign (basically don't stop attacking for campaign bonuses and use raise dead a lot). He is mentioned in the game several times and always had him pegged as someone CA would likely release as FLC.

I think the best way to approach the bloating of characters with in warhammer 3 would be to make each providence larger. Like each providence would be its own smaller map. Think tutorial island or once of the chaos realm type of thing.

I'll add onto it i'd like to see jade blooded, a vampire type that has access to the yin-yang mechanic based on what's currently in the game, and that i believe Vlad should gain access to the elector count system, able to cause vampiric corruption and maybe vampire conversion of the empire through the imperial authority system. In summary, embed each vampire into the mechanics and culture of the local factions

Literally I agree with ALL of the lords you covered, the biggest reason why they would all be amazing to see is they all could operate as hybrid factions, using vampiric units alongside mortal units from their respective human nations, thereby not only adding to the fantasy of vampires as a whole using subterfuge to infiltrate and rule human nations, which is how vampire counts should be played, using guile and cunning to lead mortals and strength and terror in battle.

Gashnak is a Vampire Count, not a Lord. He started the cursed Prince rumour himself. He has some nice lore in the WFRP 2nd Edition book Night's Dark Masters.

I feel mallobaude should start as a bretonnian lord with a limited roster [no grail units] but have upgrade options that let him diversify depending on the players preferences. for instance if they wanna go vampire, they can select vampire upgrade options that open up vampire count roster units and eventually sees mallobaude get a 'blood dragon kiss' vampire upgrade that turns him into a vampire. on the other hand would be a more human upgrade path that gets mallobaude access to empire units [as a representation of his willingness to employ blackpowder weapons] and nets him a... idk a black grail upgrade that unlocks access to unique 'black grail' units that net similar benefits to grail units. and of course the option would exist to mix and match, trading access to the full benefits of any one particular path in exchange for flexibility [say ya wanna run a mixed vampire bretonnia roster with empire handgunners]

Aborash !!! For me he is the greatest of those 1st vampires while he is also the best fighter. He succeed in his quest and found a way to avoid/manage the blood rage. He didn't fail in establishing a kingdom and show a way of honor and justice. A possible way for the vampires to live with others.

Nagash, Nefferata and Arkan will be their own undead faction imo, most likely mixing both the vampire count and tomb king rosters (far more than Arkan already does). Nagash will be in a weakened form and all three will have the objective to gather all his books, defeat/subjugate all other undead factions and to win a final battle at the Pyramid so Nagash can get all his power back. It would likely be either the 100th faction or the final DLC for the game.

Nagash yea he has been beaten by just about the entire world having gone against him. And when they didn't all unite and run to beat him up he became a god. There is no single thing aside from the gods themselves that stand a chance vs nagash greater deamons would need to team up just to have a solid shot. There is a big difference.

i think Gashnag the Black Prince will be a great lord for a southern kingdoms DLC. I don't think given his lore he would be a grat vampire count lord. He should be like arkhan the black where he has access to some vampire units

This guy should be in. Many say about Walach Harkon, but if CA does a VC CoC-style DLC then it should be all about the various bloodline founders. Zacharias could be retconned that after he killed Melkhior, who was actually W'Soran bodysurfing, W'Soran took over Zacharias.

@@mp5284 Actually it's debatable here if he did so because in the horrible End Times Zacharias gets into a fight with Nagash because he defied the latter and gets himself killed. If he truly were W'Soran possessing his body, then he'd immediately join the Arch-Necromancer right off the bat (no pun intended) the moment he'd hear he came back. Then again nobody likes End Times over how just plain horrible it was (except for the units and stuff) and can be very well ignored. Meanwhile in the 2nd ED Warhammer RPG, Melkhior did survive his demise at the hands of Zacharias and immediately started to plan his vengeance on him which would explain Zacharias's defiance against Nagash. Then again everything is subject to change...

If they are going to do a chaos warrior update for VC I think they could do a chance for the bloodlines eg make Von carstiens sort of the base faction then each bloodline has different gameplay,objective,wants,needs.

Finally a vampire vid :) thank you! IMO Gahsnag is not really much better than the Carsteins or the Lahmians - I like him . Zacharius is not "part" of the Necrarch bloodline - he is W'Soran :) which coud be a nice thing to use for why he is travelling. Neferata - Nehekharan women could and were priestesses wielding magic, she def needs to have influence style and ability to have living heros - Swains....as well as Coven Throne, Nehekarahn skeletons and of course Naaima - Cathay link. Warriors of Chaos is a great baseline for dlc. Lore on Ushoran varies - in the various novels he is def not her brother but he is in the rpg. Ulrika would seem a great Kislev/Empire/Vampire character and Genevive as a LH

I think something they could do to add flavor but not make too major of a change is to move the bloodline vampire that corresponds with your chosen legendary lord to recruit in place of the generic vampire lord (still keep the other bloodlines just as they are) . So if you are Vlad/Isabella/Mannfred then your "generic" vampire lord will be replaced by the von carstien bloodline lord. And if they make legendary lords of the other bloodlines then they would have thier generic one replaced with their bloodline (ie. The Red Duke's "generic" vampire lords would be replaced by blood dragon bloodline ones.) In place of the vampires for that one bloodline in the bloodline menu and bonuses for unlocking them, you could have 1 unlock of a legendary lord or hero (for instance von carstien would be konrad) and put the bloodline menu bonuses into thier skill panel. This would make it so that you wouldn't have "generic" vampire lords that for some reason aren't part of a bloodline, vampires of your own bloodline wouldn't be limited, it would keep all present bonuses/balance, and add more character options without adding playable lords or clogging up the campaign map. Not sure how to apply this for Heinrich or Helmann, I think ideally remove the blood kiss/bloodline mechanism entirely and give them something necromancer specific, but that's probably asking too much.

Neferata is Not only THE missing vampire count but one of the top missing characters in the game. A must-make DLC faction. A return to the Silver Pinnacle( sorry Dwarves) and a diplomacy style that mixes High elf/skaven and empire styles.

I would love Neferata to be able to transform Humans in vampire, infiltrating the human society in a sligthly similar way to how Belakor is supposed to be able to corrupt human into demon princes. Once a human faction would be corrupted enough you could vassalize them by force, or even slowly turn the human faction in a Vampire faction. Or there would be Vampire Rebels that become your vassalize when they get the enemie settlement.

Having Neferata in the Lahmian Sisterhood would be nice given that while we have Tretch, Imrik, and to an extent Skarsnik over there, since there's primarily minor factions like the Dark Land Orcs and Slaves of Zharr immediately nearby, it would definitely offer a solid starting position. Having Azhag right there to potentially incentivize killing off Karak Kadrin in military alliance would be neat.

While the idea occurred to me while thinking about the VC, I think it would be interesting if some legendaries could be used as lords and heroes interchangeably. There are some characters from the TT, like Konrad, who has hero level stats but at one point lead armies in the oore. So you could attach them to an army like a hero or you can detach them and use them as a general. I don't know how this would be handled mechanically in the game but I think it would be a good way to reduce overcrowding on the map and have characters that wouldn't make sense to be rival factions exist together without confederation.

What I really hate and that when playing as one of those bad guys faction, "Evil" alligned AI always get to wreck the empire before I get to do it and that really need to get adressed

Konrad von Carstein? Just saying, he is probably more likely than four out of the five you mentioned. Only Neferata has equal or possibly greater chance of appearing? I would be surprised if any Vampire Counts expansion isn't either Konrad or Neferata. Konrad is dead you say? Well, so is Vlad and Isabella, in lore. Grom is also dead before the reign of Karl Franz. The one thing Warhammer Total War series has done is fetch out some characters from different periods. Konrad von Carstein is simply one of the most famous vampire lords currently not in the game.

Legendary hero fits him better, since he's just a berserk / blood crazed vampire that lost access to the winds of magic due to his madness iirc. So wouldnt be a good addition to take the place of any other better lord. What we gravely need is Ushoran or Vorag, Abhorash, or Red duke made LL, Zacharias, and Neferata. Those are indispensable to flesh out the bloodlines.
