5 Beginner Tips To Start On Enigma Server

Hi guys! In this video I share with you what Iearned on the Enigma server when I was a complete beginner. I hope this video gives you a good start and some of those things can be translated to the general question of "How to get into DCS multiplayer?" I hope you find this usefull!

100% agree playing WITH others is the most fun. after a while it feels dead just going after kills. but formations, planning strikes, team success is the best

Lots of great tips, Nazradu. Especially the part about having fun. I have found out that I suck on A2A, so I have flown mostly deep strikes and recon with the Viggen. My record is 26 found enemy units in one sweep. That is a great feeling.

Hey Mighty, nice to see you! What you say sounds familiar :D Also try the A-10A if you own FC3. Being slow and low sounds scary but you cary so much firepower and I had more A2A kills with the Hog than with the Viggen😅

This is so true! To be honest, my goal is to reach 1000 subs, so I can join the DCS content creators. Then the Discord bot will post my videos on the DCS Discord and I don't have to do it on my own. Goals of a lazy person XD

I got on ECW for the second time earlier, this time with my SRS set up correctly. GCI pointed me at a lone enemy Hind, I eagerly set out to intercept. I promptly took AA to both engines, overshot the Hind without hitting him with anything, and crashed. Nearly quit right then and there out of embarrassment. A few more sorties and no kills today but I'll be back.

Thanks Naz, I'm still to join a PvP server - mainly because I have no idea how to set up in game comms be it internal, discord, or SRS. Guess I have more homework...

Hey Thomas! Thanks for your feedback. Reach out to people on Discord or the forum. You will find a wingman that will help you out. On the Enigma Discord you can also join Blue or Red voice channel if someone is there. Make an appointment with someone who is willing to teach you and things will get rolling ;)

Nice video nazradu. I want to start multiplayer since ages but always have the feeling that I am not ready yet. Would you suggest a Training server first or just start out on Enigma (because that is where I want to end up playing). Good hint with the overlord text bot as I do not want to talk all the time (playing as a dad as the Kids are asleep) and setting up SRS radio seems as an additional hurdle. Your video gave me some confidence in just jumping in and trying it out.

Training servers are very different from a PVP enviroment like on ECW. The very best way to get in is with a buddy who can talk you through the first flight. But overall I would say just hop on the Enigma server, prepare to die and learn from your mistakes. If something isn't clear just ask in chat. In all chat even people from the other team will sometimes help you, or explain things. As long as you don't try MP you will always feel like not ready. Only way to overcome that feeling is joining a server ;)

@@nazradu okay, so I jumped into the cold water today and tried Enigma's server in a Mig-21. Took off from Airbase, encountered enemy, died. Tried to take off from roadbase two times unsuccessfully (great balls of fire). Took off from the furthest airbase from the frontline, after ages accidently overflew enemy airbase, died from SAM. I thougt I lacked in weapons employment and dogfight, but I really have to train navigation and take off / landing on Road bases first before that even will be a problem ;-). But I will do my homework. I watched a lot of videos about that server and always wanted to try multiplayer but it was your video that I watched today that actually made me do it. It was a good suggestion to just try it. Now I know what I really need to learn. Thanks a lot! Need to find a training buddy now.

Hey man! Thank you for your comment! There are at least three heli centric servers I know of, all of them are PVE though. can you fill me in on this? does ECW still have AI overlord? cause all i have been able to fins is the in game automatic overlord menu but not the actual talking one

Hi lootbot! The talking one is gone. Only the text bot is left. Just set auto update and you are fine. No distance selection or what ever needed anymore

Idk man. I always take tracks from the YT sound library as they are free and mostly you don't have to obey any constraints.

why is the ka50 not on the server?

It does not fit into cold war aera and no glas cockpit rule. It's available at Tempest Blue Flash server. That's like Enigmas but with modern stuff
