I'm a RN who is getting older and having a terrible time losing weight after gaining a lot of weight while on night shift for the past two years. I've been off night shift for 3 months but cannot lose the weight that I gained and am dealing with significant health problems that I did not have before my time on night shift. I will trust God to help me through a Daniel fast and however else He sees fit because I know I can do nothing in my own strength but can do all things in His strength. Making my food choices to worship Him for making me in His image and His daughter. This video is very timely for me. Thank you Dr. Marcum for this information. I was really feeling down about my situation when I woke up this morning, and now feel encouraged instead. 🙏

I have never understood why they call it a Daniel fast. Daniel did not fast, he did not want to eat food, that was 'unclean' according to his religious laws. I am quite sure, it was a lifestyle food change. I also did never understood, why it was 3 weeks.Daniel did the trial for a week.

Daniel probably did not fast, but fasting is abstaining from all or some kinds of foods so when we decide to eat as Daniel did, we are abstaining from specific foods that we eat on a regular basis, but either way, Daniel's example is powerful and beneficial for our health. Blessings!

Thanks Dr. Marcum, great reminders for us all! We learn in Daniel 12:16, that the guard was SO impressed with the results of the 10-day trial, he continued to withhold the King's rich food and wine and kept providing them vegetables. Intteresting!

Amen! That is powerful! What we eat is extremely important!

So happy I found a channel like this! Could you do a video about what led you to become a doctor? As well as why you chose your current specialty? I ask because I'm a student at Texas Tech University and I too would love to become a doctor one day! Thank you so much brother!

This seems to be the year for Daniel. Sight and Sound Theater is doing Daniel. A book is coming out soon from Amir Tsarfati called Discovering Daniel. I am currently reading his book "Revealing Revelations." He explains thru scripture, what John seen.

We can learn a lot from Daniel and what is written about him, but through Daniel's story, we can see who Jesus is even better! Thanks for sharing, blessings!

I’ve done the Daniel diet numerous times and have enjoyed the benefits of it. My only concern with it as a lifestyle is that it is mostly carbohydrates. Isn’t that unhealthy if someone has issues with keeping their blood sugar balanced?
@BiblicalPrescriptionsforLife11 ай бұрын
We recommend anyone considering entering into any type of diet to discuss it with their primary care physician, there is always the right way to do it and the wrong way. Complex carbohydrates are good for our health, but we do need to be balanced. Blessings!

With all due respect, BIBLICAL FASTING means to abstain from all food. Worldly and cultural fasts say give up tv, cell phones, shopping, etc. Further to this point, Daniel was NOT fasting, he was eating a vegetarian diet while "mourning".

This IS beneficial , but it is NOT a fast. Any time you’re eating/chewing , you are NOT fasting. It’s a consecration.
