I cannot emphasise how important it is to do the work on yourself, for yourself, and be consistent with that work. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel after a solid three months of CONSISTENT hard work on yourself. No contact (no reaching out, to be more specific) is for YOU and your own mental health and wellbeing. No one on earth is worth the mental trauma and the self-inflicted barbs we throw at ourselves after a breakup.

Been in a 2 month long dragged out breakup, I have lost myself and working on myself to find myself again. Life seems bleek but one foot in front of the other. Lost 13 pounds in little over 3 weeks, new job with 3x the income and everyday I seem to get a couple percent better. Stay strong my people.
@s.t.53112 жыл бұрын
It’s good that you’re life is improving, but I just want to let you know that losing 13 pounds in 3 weeks is very unhealthy. Aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

@Nate_The_Great692 жыл бұрын
@@nathantrujillo471 Well I work part time (good money not enough hours) plus casual as a firefighter I decided it wasn’t working for me. Thought I should put my education to use so I got a job as an oilfield firefighter so I’ll be working 98 hour work weeks for 2 to 3 weeks at a time and other pay benefits included in that. Definitely not a long term plan but it can defiantly start putting me on a path to chasing my dreams. Long story short haha

Yea that's the crazy thing. The internal honest to one self of letting go and they'll eventually contact. I have been no contact since October (soon 8 months) and I know she ain't contacting me. She's not going to, especially as long as I think of her daily, but I've been seeing other women now and eventually one day I'll forget her completely. @@naadde yeah, I know of a couple who got back together after 30-40 years. So yeah, sure, you can be 100% sure there's a time they would eventually reach out... if we all lived hundreds of years. But considering our short lifespan and women's even shorter fertility, I wouldn't count on that. Besides, I'm effing glad she didn't reach out. I dreaded the possibility of her reaching out. Because logically I was 100% sure I wouldn't want to talk to her. But I know how stupid the hormones made me when separation anxiety kicked in a day after I found out what she had done. I feared some hormones would make me foolish enough to talk to her. That wouldn't be the real me, but the real me would have to pay the consequences once my mind cleared out again. So I said what I said hoping people like me would find some relief in the fact that some of them just don't reach out. At least not in a reasonable amount of time for it to matter.

Andras, i know exactly what you mean. it was the hope that really kept my hurt alive. after i finally gave up hope, that's when i started to feel better. it has been two years, i'm alone, she's not coming back, in fact she's already engaged, and living with another guy, and that was after less than a year.

Definitely agree about not dating someone else right now. A number of coaches, and family members too, say that will make your ex jealous and come back or help you get over them. Not my ex. I'd never hear from her again. And it's really unfair to the other person, especially if they like you. I am nowhere near ready to date someone else. I'm still very much in love with my ex. I've already screwed up since my breakup. No way am I going to do something that will forever eliminate what little chance I have left. I won't date someone else until I know I've moved on

There was a guy who considered me his best friend as far as I know. He basically betrayed my trust and I could hardly even look at him. He then threatened me with suicide. I didn't respond at all, but in my mind I thought "just do it". Fast forward 7 years and I was the one who got closer to suicide than ever. I knew threatening my ex with suicide would possibly make her to feel the same, but I still did it. Even now, 2 years later I think it was only down to luck I didn't kill myself. In one of the phone calls that might have been the last one for me, my mom mentioned she contemplated suicide when I was young. If she didn't mention that, I might have done it eventually. Now I wouldn't ever consider suicide. Not even if I was terminally ill. But I'm glad I threatened my ex, because now I can know for sure that at least at that time she really wanted me dead. Just like I wished that guy did it 9 years ago. She didn't bother to talk me out of it and if it wasn't for my mom sensing the need to mention her experience, I would be dead. That gives me quite a bit of strength not wanting my ex back.

I made the mistake of the infamous hand written letter, which failed miserably. Looking back I regret writing the damn thing. Long story short- my gf said she was pregnant (not by me), I got upset and told her to stop the pregnancy and she told me to never talk to her ever again. That was last year and it fucking sucked. She contacted me a few months after all that happened, and we've been working things out, but it is not the same. That letter made me look like a weak desperate loser. Live and learn.

@@rambojohnj.6117 The situation was a little more complicated than that. But yeah she got really upset with me and I was very upset with her. In the end, I don't believe she was ever pregnant. I was overseas when all this went down and when I saw her months later, she had no baby bump and never delivered. And she has never spoken of it. I think it was a big huge harry lie to get me out of the picture. Anyways, I'm not seeing her now. Dignity and self respect... I won't let her take that from me anymore. I deserve better than that.

So it is now three months since break up and I did No Contact. Ex contacted me at 45 days and we talked three different times and the last time he asked me to dinner which I declined due to a prior engagement. He texted a time or two. He called last week and talked for an hour and only made one reference to how good we were , otherwise it was about food and nonchalant stuff. He called this morning with a couple of non important questions. It's confusing. I love him and I'm waiting it out for a while, I still do No Contact. I do think he might be looking for someone to date - is just a guess on my part. I'm okay with it as I think he should see what is out there. I'm being patient and working on myself. He is worth the wait....It was mostly my fault for the break up. If the coaches want to comment on what they think this might be....testing the waters? I very much enjoy your videos. I need to check out your course on Knowledge.

At first I tried begging, I even went as far as making relatives talk to her, but she said over her dead body she is not going to get back to me again. But I discovered that she is no longer attracted to me....so far I have started the no contact method and so far I have not contacted her or even seen my kids. But the other time her father called me and told me if I have try reaching out with my wife and I told him know. What do I tell her dad the next time he called me suggesting I reach out to her. What about my kids, should I reach out to them.
