Hello i got a problem with my ps4 fat model Like as soon that i start the ps4 the fan goes fast like i was playing a very demanding game I have change the thermal paste and put a new fan in but same problem Can someone help me please!!
@x260houtori3 жыл бұрын
When you replaced the thermal compound and cleaned the fan did you try replacing the thermal pads too?

What paste and how much?
@isaiahpeterson61343 жыл бұрын
Or how little
@Riku1483 жыл бұрын
You need to tighten those two screws that hold down the APU pressure plate. Add washers if needed but apply the pressure very gently. Paste has nothing to do with this problem.

I bought a PS4 from a work colleague for £40, which had BLOD. I "fixed" it with a couple of washers. Still going strong. Even if it died tomorrow, I definitely got my money's worth!

Sorry there were so many case swaps in this video and not as many repairs. I was hoping there were more that would be fixable. Here's the link to the Taco Bell PS4 that I mentioned at the end. Hope you enjoy it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4SugGyOgpt_rpI

Could you do a video of investigating the e106 etc errors that are due to the Xbox 1S&1X internal hdd SATA connector going bad?? Never knew until it happened to me. New hdd and offline updates all fail but there’s people who bypass the data part with off the shelf SATA and use an extension power SATA cable to continue connecting to the proprietary OG connector’s power plug. A real mess I’m not sure many Xbox owners are aware of

Happens all the time with computer equipment. The best ones are the ones sold as "faulty" because Windows got corrupted, but have no actual hardware issues whatsoever.
@MyRegardsToTheDodo3 жыл бұрын
@@Lukeno52 I have a Switch with a corrupted save that I bought as defective. It's an easy fix, just go into the recovery menue and reset the Switch. Problem is, the first owner didn't know that and sold it as defective, the (atleast) second owner didn't bother with it and sold it on and now I have it and have no way of reaching the original owner to ask them about the parental controll pin. A reset is only possible with the parental controll pin. And because I also can't get an inquiry number I also can't get the parental controll master pin from Nintendo. At the moment I hope that Nintendo releases a full system update soon and that this maybe fixes it.

speaking of thermal paste. I replaced it on my laptop. It's about a year old now. It works but it ran hotter than I'd like and the fan was going crazy all the time. There was a TON of thermal paste on the substrate, but almost none on the silicon. So I replaced it. It runs a lot cooler. The fan doesn't run as much as before. But it still goes crazy at times. I may replace the fan since it makes so much noise. That silicon was tiny. I know the Ryzen 4700U was a low power chip, but damn it's small. Still it's an improvement.

Service induced fault on the last one. Thats a pretty common occurrence in servicing right across the board from autos to water heaters and everything in between. There's a school of thought that says that if something is operating within tolerances you shouldn't service it.

Hey Steve, it would be great if you could investigate the xb1s&x E106 error that’s caused by those stupid proprietary Internal-hdd-SATA cable which apparently does go bad. There’s videos of people doing a DIY with pc cables to bypass the data part of that connector which is the part of it that fails.
