5 Car Trends That DIDN'T Die Off!

Remember when we all thought Stance was some dumb Car Mod Trend? That was over 10 years ago...yet here it is. Still with us. Permeating deeper into our brains. The Rice begins to coagulate in our veins...and before we know it. We too, have all become ricers.
Neon Under Glow
This trend did in fact die off from 2010 to 2016ish…then it suddenly started to resurface.
Vinyl wrapping has always been a thing for commercial vehicles for several decades now, but only just recently picked up traction in the past decade for personal vehicles.
Lowriders were very prevalent in the late 60s and early 70s and continued on into the 80s and 90s. However, as classic muscle cars started to appreciate in value, the trend of Lowriders started to dwindle down in the 2000s and early 2010s. They later had a resurgence in the modern era, one that would even reach worldwide!
Donks just always had a continued existence ever since cars existed. Cars ride on wheels. Some people really like wheels. Therefore, people were bound to obsess over wheels.

Just sitting on limiter, I don't understand.. However if it's slamming gears late at night, but not really going that fast(assuming it's relatively stock). This I can understand, engine roaring, shifting quick but going just above the speed limit.

@@thebigpicture2032 you r a legend xD but get some that are waterproof, long enough and stuff. Ideally, I for example bough enough to go all the way around the car. It is like 5 meters ( 30 feet ) and it has microchips that form a rainbow colour. Aka it displays 7 colours AT ONCE isn't that cool ?

Need For Speed did stop featuring underglow for a while until about 2018 when NFS Payback made underglow a premium feature. It was also standard in NFS Heat

I'm super glad under glow is back...even tho I'm not dying to do it (mostly because the 2 best colors for this Blue and Red play a dangerous line of what you can and can't use on the exterior of your car). But I gotta say I really wish stance would go away both the crazy camber (seems to be slowing down some) and stretched tires which is just a gawd awful look

A trend that never died off that you overlooked in this video is minitrucking/slammed pickup trucks in general. Started back in the 80's, I remember it being popular when I was growing up in the 2000's and it's still pretty popular now.

Rice Burner was originally a derogatory term for Japanese cars, and this got shortened to just "rice." To rice out a car meant to apply pointless visual modifications. The acronym of "Race Inspired Cosmic Enhancement" came much, much later. I was around in the late 80s and early 90s, so I witnessed this first hand.

Stance cars: Exists Road bumps: "You have no power here"

1: Camber needs to be reserved for cars that run the tracks. 2: Underglow is useful if you're stranded and need help, but your hazard lights exist already. 3: Vinyl Wrap is useful to let others know your business or interests. Plus you might as well just put a primer on and then wrap over the primer (unless the adhesive doesn't stick to the primer very well). 4: Low riding helps with stability and grip but your risk is pot holes and speed bumps. O.M.: Donks don't appeal to me. You're sacrificing functionality just to make your rims more noticeable plus your sacrificing turn radius unless you want to add spacers then you're sacrificing fender. 5: Japan can keep it.

@@jordanmcclain4412 Sure, donks are cars that are lifted to be cosmetically enhanced with big wheels. Show trucks are lifted to be cosmetically enhanced with big wheels. They are the same concept, just with different canvases. I really don't care what people do with their own vehicle, but a lot of them with their trucks get really defensive when the comparison is made, even when they are fundamentally similar.

The thing about the term "ricer" is that it never was an acronym originally, the acronym came later and is therefore a backronym. Originally it was a slightly racist term applied to Japanese cars and culture as they were seen in the west as the origin of things like show cars with big body kits, sound system builds, wings, neons and all the other all-show-no-go mods that became popular in the late 90s through magazines such as Max Power. In short a mod doesn't have to be race inspired to be rice, it just has to be kinda pointless.

I can see how underflow can be rice now because nascar ran underglow last year for the all-star race but in my opinion underglow can look good if done right
