There are a couple things that need to be noted, the reasoning for not eating at your space is because not only can it cause a mess but it also causes your brain to make a psychological link relating your desk to eating. The same logic is why you should have a sperate study area to your room because your brain ties the room to sleep. ideally, you shouldn't really be in your room except for bed activities.

Nice, simple and practical tips. My only gripe would be the window which I don't currently have a nice scenery access. :) I'd prefer that too if not for some of the following problems: the UV rays will definitely degrade equipment so make sure that the sun is always facing away from your window. If not, install a ceramic tint to deflect most of the UV rays. I'd rather have windows behind me these days so that I need to stand and stretch & walk around hehe... Plus my current setup is (2) ultra-wide monitors with one large monitor / TV above so that doesn't give me much choice but to mount them all. Too cluttered to have a window behind all that. Got into RGB lighting too just recently. Great for the evenings or low-light conditions. Important to have a wall behind to deflect all the backlighting. ;) Cheers mate!
