Join teams - you don’t have to have anything to do with teammates but will get bonus xp and share in any SPECIAL card buffs they share Pick up and scrap as much as you can - scrapping weapons and armour will unlock mods you can use to upgrade your gear as you go along. The junk you collect will give you materials to build or repair ❤

Inspirational perk under charisma NEEDS to maxed as soon as humanly possible. Also always be in a team, casual preferably. If you want to grind xp, speedrun “The Most Sensational Game” expedition over and over. If you do it right you can do it and exfil in about 7 minutes barring glitches, crashes, etc. If In an expeditions team of four people you can net 20k xp per run. If not a power armor wearer always keep a hazmat suit with you. When someone nukes a boss, drop everything and help, unless it’s Earle, he’s not worth the trouble, time, or resources at this point in time unless the whole server shows up to do it. Make, carry, use, and spread the word about the coveted Endangeroul Syringer rifle. Craft and scrap syringers until you unlock endangeroul barrel. It makes targets 25% weaker for two minutes straight when you hit them. It does not stack if YOU shoot it again BUT it will if someone else does, stooping at 100%. Meaning if you and three other people all shoot something with your syringers it’ll be 100% weaker for two minutes. You need to pick and stick to a build if you don’t want to suck at life. Pick a weapon type or two, don’t spread your build out too thin. Bloodied builds are 110% worth it. You’ll be just as tanky as a full health don’t let the scary red health bar stop you from experiencing the epicness of a bloodied build. Bosses are all but immune to explosive damage, don’t waste your ammo. Fallout first is ridiculously overpriced but it makes a night and day difference regarding quality of life. Plus you get 13 dollars worth of atoms every month. If you’re gonna use heavy guns for the love of God wear power armor. The stabilized perk makes a night and day difference. Do not try a pistol build, they suck. Hard. The only “decent” pistols are the alien blaster in vats or the gauss pistol in stealth. Save up your bullion. You may think having 1-2k bullion is a lot. You’re wrong. The grind is real and it is without mercy. You can fast travel from the interiors of all buildings I believe. Use the White spring mall as a hub for scrapping, stashing, repairing, crafting, selling, turning in legendaries and treasury notes. It’s a one stop shop that free to fast travel to. It’s a bit up for debate but with the appropriate setup Hellcat is the tankiest set of power armor in the game. Followed by t65 then Union. If you want 100 extra carry weight and near immunity to poison/acid Union Power Armor is the way to go.

@@The_Lone_Outlaw I hate VATS more than bloodied builds Its my second and third stars on my quad; +25% weapon speed and +250 reloading DR, as well as the build of the weapon itself I never use the hardened receiver, I use all True (receiver, short barrel, grip), compensator, dot reflex, and most importantly- perforating magazine Next comes the perks; most important of which are Tank Killer, Adrenaline (I only use it at 3 stars), Tenderizer, Born Survivor and Adamantium Skeleton. All either provide extra damage potential or increase survivability I always run full health, frontal assault builds

Don't be afraid to do public events. If you see a lot of dots on the map around an event, high level players will complete all of the objectives. Even if you fail the event you will gain a ton of XP. Also, Dying isn't a big deal in 76. The only thing that you drop is junk. You do not need to be emotionally attached to junk. Participate in events.

I would say build a camp near one of the Robot vendors or at least walking distance to one, usually it encourages trade or find a water source for water purifiers it’s good fodder if you need caps

you can fast travel to some vendors for free as well as your camp like nuka world on tour and whitespring hotel and mall so you can build anywhere.

I still recommend starting without picking level 20. Go down to Flatwoods, learn some mechanics. Weapons will come. This tip video is for people only wanting to try to grab weapons. No focus on the meat of the game. No need to rush through like a tourist.

What would help this game most would be text chat, I was absolutely lost when I started and people used those emotes around, especially hearing about how it was supposed to work with heavy PvP thing and all that I dont like to talk with voicechat in games, and I badly understand spoken english, especially with added to lag/stutter and accents

As a side remark that has nothing to do with the game and more to do with English; as an English person I have no idea how non-English people learn to talk with English people. I sometimes struggle with the accents and I've been speaking the language my whole life. Your written English is very good by the way

@@nastymf4577 I am glad my written english is good enough, at times it is worse, mostly depends on how rested I am and how compelx stuff I try to talk about anyway to spoken english, at school we have "listening lessons" or however to call it, basically listen to tapes but they tend to be so artificially recorded in way so it is nothing like actual thing (which makes sense for learning purposes), and talking with teacher, but obviosuly those here have accent coresponding to my country, always at least little bit, watching movies, shows, YT or stuff in english is then only practice if you have not actual person to talk to, preferably with subtitles or things I already seen with dubbing so I can remember at least roughly what about it was is highly benefitial and it should be really interesting to pay really attention, it takes long and indeed then you meet someone with accent, or some speech defficiecy, then add to it great stuff with any voicechat trough internet, too silent microphone, bad signal, someone having blasting music aside... it all makes things worse, in game as Fo76 specifically, or even TF2, whatever action game.. sounds of game itself also stand in way funny nough, when I started to play Fo76 even, I met someone right at start and he talked to me, and I had not even clue how to use voicechat even if I wanted (looking trough settings helped but it was way too late), hoenstly I went quite blind into it and i really expected game to have text chat too.. as literally every other MMO, I rememeber playing, had

rare items a freshie could come across: leather coat, tattered field jacket, any camo scout masks are worth a lot and some over max caps ; keep them until you understand more about the off-vendor player trading aspect of fo76

Yeah as a noob in the early days of vendors I sold tattered field jacket for 50 caps. Thankfully I have found a few rare pieces of apparel to replace it in vendors myself

I would recommend the level 20 start, if you are playing with friends. I do think you learn a bit more about the game, and get a unique feel for survival that gets lost at higher levels, if you start at level 1. Don’t get married to any one weapon as a low level, unless the weapon effect offsets having the weapon be a lower level than what you can get at a current, higher level. Join teams, great benefits for free/no work. use the contextual ammo drops to your advantage as a low level.

I would recommend choosing the Shotgun starter too as it gives you the Pump Action Shotgun plan, which is one of the rarest plans in the game as no vendors sell it and only has a chance to spawn in 2 locations

To new players if your game crashes non stop or you get disconnected from server a lot its ok this is normal has been happening for years...day 1 till now 😮‍💨 games great though..if it works,and be ready for a lot of high lvls being afk in events,so mite be up to you to carry the server with other few people actually playing the game,good luck 😊

I've only been playing for 2 months, and I'll grant you the best armor in the game is for gold, but the best weapons? The Fixer is a quest item, the best shotgun is Stamps or Atoms, Auto Axe is the same, Cremator comes from the season, Holy Fire from event, Enclave Plasma doesn't sell for gold, Railway Rifle and Chainsaw you can just find in the game. What weapon costs gold that is that much better than any of the ones I am thinking of?

Dont be afraid to ask for help if you need it, high levels love new players Don't retaliate against players that attack you first especially if they are doing it on purpose, they want you to retaliate so they can steal your caps as bounty (50 max per kill)

Taught one new player that last night. He tried lockpicking my doghouse gatherer among other things. Swung my axe once and downed him, then with my cannibal perk I executed him. Left the scrap there, but stared him down as he retrieved it while revving my chainsaw.

OK, so... I'm not sure I agree with much of these. 1.There's no real reason NOT to start at lvl 1 when you first start playing. Yes, if you start at lvl 20 you start with perks and weapons, but what you MISS is all those easy low level pipe weapons and armour to loot which you then scrap to learn their upgrades. Just so you know, certain fully upgraded pipe weapons, like the pipe revolver, WILL be hitting harder and will give you greater access to ammo from bodies than almost ever similar gun up to around lvl 50, and it really takes no time to get to lvl 20. 2. Questlines: you can do both the overseers and the wasteland ears at the same time, so don't sweat about choosing which one. No idea why this ones even on his list, tbh. 3. Public events: yes, do them, but check to see that you're not going to be on your tod (some of the events, like "distinguished guests," are frequently ignored by most due to lack of rewards, and are an absolute Ball-ache to run solo. 4. Hoarding weapons. This is fine. You WON'T know which are the good weapons for a while, because you won't have access to all the perks and upgrades that can make a particular gun go from "meh" to "hehehe." The only thing I'd recommend is don't hoarde more than one of each type: keep the highest level you can currently use with the biggest condition bar, and scrap the rest. 5. Junk. Yeah, this one is fine. 🤣
