I kind of really need this. I'm eating more chicken as part of my eating in/healthy eating/meal prep. My chicken is usually so bland, and I don't really know how to marinade. These recipes look and sound good!
@LeBoredomInc7 жыл бұрын
Also, how long should you keep the chickens in the marinade? I know some people say lemon will start the cooking process...
@honeysuckle7 жыл бұрын
I've never had an issue with the cooking process using lemons, it does whiten the outer layer a bit but not enough to make a difference. I usually do overnight but 3 hours would work just as well!

LeBoredomInc You should also try this chicken recipe! www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/lemon-chicken-breasts-recipe-1923711 It's sooooooo good even with skinless chicken breasts and without lemon zest (I just can't be bothered). I also squeeze as many chicken breasts as my pan can fit instead of just using 4 and I use lemon slices instead of lemon wedges so I have enough for more than 4 chicken breasts. The sauce is super quick and easy to cook up and I imagine you can freeze it with the chicken until you need it and just thaw it before baking. Not quite marinating, but I figured you might enjoy it anyway! :D

Tip: I recommend slicing chicken breast in half. It cooks so much quicker and you don't risk it being dry.
@olddave48336 жыл бұрын
@David Bueso I use a meat hammer and pound it down to the thickness that I want.
@Reaper19476 жыл бұрын
@@olddave4833 Same here I would cut them down to 1/3 of that thickness and then pound them down to 1/4 of an inch then marinate them overnight. Trying to cook the breast that thick will just dry them out and the breast are dry enough as it is. The more surface area on the chicken the more flavor from that hot grill. TheReaper!
@EatOffTop6 жыл бұрын
Try putting the biggest chicken breasts you have in a pressure cooker for 5-7 mins after marinading. Even without marinading, it is way juicier than roasting or pan frying. The juice stays locked in... Many chefs(including myself) use pressure cookers in professional kitchens. Worth a try if your a real foodie... Second juciest chicken breast cooking method is roasting at high temp in oven. 400 degrees... The high heat keeps the juice locked in.
@kezkezooie85955 жыл бұрын
Yes, I cut them in half or butterfly them too. I find that if you cook a large chicken breast you end up with parts being over-cooked if you want the thickest part cooked. Cutting them in half tends to even out the thickness.

Great video. Just wanted to give an FYI to everyone. if you do not like cilantro, be careful with the curry marinade. it has the fresh cilantro and then the coriander, which is also cilantro. Cilantro is referred to as coriander in the UK and Europe and since they dry the herb, the flavor is more intense and may not be palatable to those that do not like cilantro.

Just a tip for u guys. If you are gonna cut the chicken to pieces afterwards, It's better to cut the chicken before marinading, thanks to that the marinade will touch the entire pieces, not just the surface of the breast that would cause the pieces to be unevenly and a lot less marinaded, enjoy ^^
