What a peaceful home you have! I agree, especially about natural materials in the home. They have a totally different energy than plastics, MDF, polyesters, etc.

Thank you , I do enjoy your videos so much . I'm living at home with my mom , dad and brother . My parents are older and need care , my kids are adults and no longer need me . So, I'm at home with them . The house is looking less cluttered and cared for in comparison to what it was once . I get overwhelmed st times , because there is just so much stuff . Unfortunately, the dusting is the hardest thing for me . I try , but it seems I can never quite tackle all of it since there are other priorities that take presidence . I'm going to do a little everyday so it doesn't get overwhelming for me . Thanks again for the ideas you share on your channel , I appreciate them very much . Have an amazing Summer 2019. Much love to you :D .

@@FairylandCottage If you have a decent sized Rosemary bush, one traditional way to polish wood is to rub it with handfuls of Rosemary sprigs. The natural oils help to polish the wood & make it fragrant. I imagine Lavender would work too. You could rub the wood with the end of a softish beeswax candle or bar before you use the plant on it for a bit of extra polish.

Pine cones are highly flammable due to the natural oils in them (as are holly & ivy for the same reason)! Not a good idea around candles & also not good to decorate around your fireplace. Someone I know did that & there was a housefire as a result. If you use them to decorate your empty grate in summer make sure everyone in the house knows they have to be put away before a fire is layed.
