I stopped watching the news as I found it so distressing - important events I end up hearing about in conversation and can look up - but I find the constant sensationalism and upsetting stories from all over the world (never a slow news day anymore) now I feel a lot calmer if a little “clued out” xx

For me personally I had to get rid of Facebook. I would find myself scrolling through it way to much and I saw a lot of depressing things on it. I felt more bad than good when on so I made the decision to ditch it. It felt awesome!! I do not miss it at all! Was the best decision I’ve made. I deleted it about 5 years ago. I spent more time with my kids and did other things. Cheers 🥂

I couldn’t agree more! Slow down, minimize, plug out. And definitely animals help so much! We got a puppy recently to help with anxiety and we have a bunny. My son is in his senior years of high school and is often stressed so I will bring our bunny up to sit with him before bed sometimes. It does wonders!

Such great advice. I love cooking from scratch - on the weekends when I don’t work outside my home. I find the processes of chopping and stirring so meditative and the end results so rewarding. It’s a wonderful gift to give my family and friends too. In this age of fast fast fast food and quick fixes, it’s so special to make something from the heart and home.

I started doing this in my life about 4 years ago and i can't believe the changes! I've lost weight and kept it off, saved money on buying food, found all kinds of way to live more comfortably and more frugally, found that I didn't need to be on high blood pressure pills anymore, found all kinds of benefits! I'm studying things I quite enjoy and always have, like history and archeology and writing and poetry and tra veling. So many option out there! I llived in North Wales for many years and miss being there terribly, but being in touch with friends there via the internet has eased that "hiraeth", that "homesick longing" feeling.

OMG i absolutely love your videos.....this the fourth one I’ve watched in a row.....just discovered you.....you are so relaxing to listen to....I’m right on board with natural fabrics and materials to wear and in my home....thank you for your vision.....your home reminds me of ours....we live in a little wooden cottage in the middle of town with a very well tended English garden in northern Ontario.....but my heart is in the UK....my roots are from Canterbury England and I intend to live there for a year soon......all of my cloths are linen...cotton and silk......keep them coming 🙏❤️🌹

I love this video. I am trying to simplify my life also and feel that technology and the TV are beginning to dominate my day. I admire you actually getting rid of your tv- I lived without one for a long time until someone gave me one again. I want to show you my home screen but since we can't post photos here I will just describe it hahaha. After I saw a video about digital decluttering, I soon manage all my apps! I actually don't have any icon on my home screen, just the grass wallpaper, then at the bottom there are only 2 folders, one for apps that I use frequently and the other is I rarely use. So that's my simplifying to the highest level! Haha! And.. i only have 3 apps that I actually use. KZbin, Viber, Safari. And i have never been this stress free and happy deleting all digital clutter in my life!

You have great ideas. For me, having a toddler at 61 makes my day so much harder n toys oh brother they’re everywhere lol! I’m going to declutter her toys because she makes our small living room crazy n in turn It makes me crazy. I don’t have the same energy I had when raising my kids now so I’m trying to find ways to declutter n bring calm into my life. Your tips are really helpful n your videos calm my energy drained life. That’s if my toddler (granddaughter) gives me a moment to breathe lol hugs 🤗
