I wanted to thank you. I played guitar as a kid and teenager. When I was 15 I became pregnant with a little miracle, and had no choice but to sell all 6 of my guitars to be able to provide for her. My wonderful husband decided to surprise me with two new beautiful guitars this evening. When I picked it up, I realized I have to relearn almost everything I had known. I've been watching your videos for a few hours now and you've got me on the right track! Thank you so much. Subscribed and hope to see more videos in the future. God bless you and your family 💕

The devotional at the end made me feel it's ok to express your truth. We can't be the same as everybody else. We are free to express what we believe personally. I really appreciate the message, thanks. Helps me to have courage to express my truth more often (without hurting anybody else, that is.)

I've been struggling with understanding how to strum. This made a lot of sense and I really like the devotional at the end. Believe it or not I just played my first song after watching this video. Thank the Lord for you and your ministry. I have only tried playing for about two months and I'm loving it. This gets me out from in front of the TV and in touch with the spirit in my walk with the Lord.

Hey Matt, I just got a guitar a week ago and happened to stumble across your videos this evening. I did enjoy your video but I'm not quite advanced to the point of incorporating this lesson. I just wanted to post a message to tell you how great I thought the short devotion was. That is a great point and I'm glad that you are honoring God by doing that on the videos. Don't let the negative comments get you down. Remember, He said they hated Him first...... Check out 1 Peter 4:10, and keep up the good work!

Hey matt ivv been watching your tutorias to learn some songs ,and just finish watching this one and what u said in your devotional remind me of something, story made short ,, i learn guitar at 43 well was learning my self and a spanish leader was teaching music teory so i went and after the lessons i would stay to see them practice ,so one day he ask me to get up there and practice with them ,but i told them i didnt wanted to play ,just wanted to learn for me,, but thats how i started in the spanish worship team , so later the spanish group stop fir a minute, that was around 2011 ,2012, so one of our pastors ask if we wanted to sign up for the inglish team we could,but i wast sure, this is what u made me remember ,he said to me john will use you ,, if you have 50 % he will use those 50% ,so made me confident and i ask ,after he saw me playing he said yea i ll give you songs to practice and will call you , but ,, didnt, thats was ok i was serving as an usher too so ok, but he left after a few months ,another w pastor came ,he wa here before, so one day i sai to him ,i dont know why im saying this but ,what is it take to joying ur worship team ,he said come to my office and will chek it out ,ok ,so i went ,and sorprise after a week they put me on the list ,its been about 6 o 7 months now , him and the team are so humble,the first time that i play ,it was with his wife leading ,i was so nerviuse, so with this new pastor i feel that God is using what i have :) and im still learning ,,

Wow thanks brother! I have had a desire to learn to play the guitar lately and I finally got a guitar today and I came across your page. I felt like I wasn't talented enough to learn to play. I wasn't even sure if God wanted this for me but he kept putting the desire in my heart. If I'm capable and if it's for his glory then why not? You brought up the same exact thing of what God has been bringing up to me ! the parable of the talents. I have been thinking the same exact thing you said as well. I kept thinking I'm not good enough or talented to do this and that I have to have a certain type of husband for me to be used by God(my husband isn't saved sadly) career, etc but I felt somewhat God telling me through scripture that what I have and where I am today he can use for his kingdom if I am faithful with the little he gives me. This is amazing because I feel God confirming this to me. God has a lot in store. How amazing he is! Thanks for the devotion because I wasn't expecting it.

People don't need God to be good. Every human has both good and bad in them. It's absolutely a choice one makes about how to live his/her life. God is someone one must believe in, in order find humbleness and a simple lifestyle.
@cullenscott20227 жыл бұрын
I know I've never had someone stop me on the side of the road and try to convince me God isn't real. Had plenty of aggressive ignorant people try and stop me on the side of the street and tell me that I should read the bible yet can't tell me why gay marriage is wrong, how every animal in the world fit on a boat built by one man, nor how we have rocks on the planet that are over a million years old but the bible says the earth is not even a hundred thousand years old. Religion is for people who don't have the balls to take responsibility for their own life and need something else to blame it on.
