A true LEGEND for beginner guitarest!! Thank you for all you do for expiring musicians!!! You truly know how to bring it down for the newbies to give us the opportunity to see instant progress, not that it takes any of the homework from us but gives us a strong base!!! GOD BLESS Brother!!!

Matt I just love your zeal for the Lord. Thank you for a wonderful video. I just now made a couple perches for you. I am excited to get started. I have playing the guitar for 6 months and have hit a road block. Looking forward to getting past it. I’m in the jail ministry and I want to play and worship with the guy so bad I can’t stand it. Blessing to you all. Look up our redemption is near.

Grateful to have found your KZbin channel very helpful what anointing. God Bless you Sir Shalom. so surprised at how I good I did this one. One thing I need to learn how to sing along with it? maybe as I practice more to play it confidently the singing would flow. Hallelujah

Just the refresher I needed on strumming, thanks! Need to change my strings though...in their current condition no amount of strumming will make them sound good 😂

Thanks so much as always Matt! I'm wondering about the actual mechanics of the strum itself, I see you pinching your thumb against the inside knuckle of your index finger. Are you using a pick? If not, are you down strumming the nail of your index finger and up strumming the fleshy palm of your index finger? I'm having a lot of trouble figuring this one out. Thx. I've been using a .38 pick and can hear the 'slapping' of the pick. Without the pick I've been using the fleshy side of my thumb, but, can't figure out what to use on the up-strum that doesn't get caught in the strings.

Try using your pointer fingers nail on the down, and thumb nail on the up,

Great help Matt. When you play the C add9 how do you mute the top string, 6E ? Do you use the thumb over, or index finger pushed up against the string ?
@acousticselection2 жыл бұрын
i just play 5 down...so leave the 6th string open
@joshvermett27662 жыл бұрын
But you could use the tip of your pointer to mute out the sixth.
