Michael, Have a great Christmas and New Year! Having access to your videos is like Christmas Day EVERY day for millions. I do hope you realise the huge difference you are making in young players technical, tactical and emotional lives. As I have said, I recently had a total knee replacement and it’s at these times you begin to realise what you took for granted. Just walking again is such a joy and it’s been good for me to relate to young players how to manage their own recovery from injuries etc, not just the physical but the psychological stress it brings. Oh, and the drills are top as usual 😉 Have a great 2024 Michael 👍

Thanks Mike for creating yet another great ball handling video! One thing that I really like about this one, is that I can do this inside my 12ft × 12ft spare room! During these cold and wet winter months, this is important to be able to keep getting touches on the ball and keep the body moving!

I saw an interview from harry Kane which he explain you don’t always really need to take the defender on,and you can just take a shot off because in games there is not really much time or space for you to in a 1v1 situation

For strikers, that’s correct. Sometimes you only need to shift slightly to the side of the defender to create room to shoot. All depends on the scenario 👍

@@ProjectB22 I’ve seen the interview you mentioned, and Harry is talking about being inside the box and the limited space you have to dribble past players. As a midfielder you will sometimes find yourself inside the box where this would apply. Again, it depends on the scenario you’re in, rather than being a rule of thumb.

Wouldn’t recommend every day mate. You need recovery for your body to rebuild stronger and faster. I’d recommend hill sprints a maximum of 3 days per week with a full day between each time you do them. Doing them too often could lead to injury.
