I literally am 17 years old, and started watching her videos a year ago.. I have saved more in the last year than my entire life.. Hopefully, One day I will be able to give my parents the life they deserve (and me too) Thank you so much Miki ❤❤

I think financial independence isn't really about the "$$$ amount of money" you saved up so you can quit work... but it's really about allocating money wisely, investing money strategically, to the assets that will generate you passive income. And once your passive income will cover your whole family's expenses, then THAT is a true financial freedom! Speaking from our experience.. We have two kids under age of 3 and are able to quit Corporate America and live life on our own terms.

Great video and enjoyed the financial topics! Also want to add understanding each other's debt... I've learned that just because someone makes 300K on paper, they could be really good at saving and investing or living paycheck to paycheck! The more someone makes, the easier it is to lifestyle creep!

I definitely found the 'what I spend in a week' video to be enlightening 🤭 I never thought to explore how others spend in relation to me, so it was a relief; it felt like my money was going down a sieve, so seeing how another spends their money puts it in relief for me; helps my inclination to squirrel my money and encouraged being able to have an enjoyable experience in life as you put it ❤

I hope when you get married, honeymooned, and settled, you'll consider having a meet-up some where in Seattle for your You Tube community to come out and meet and congratulate you both... You are the sweetest couple and you are an asset to KZbin. Kevin has completely grown on me, he's charming, humble, and brilliant. I can see why you are IN LOVE with him. Kevin needs a wife with Strong Character, not because he's not strong, but because I can tell he give his profession and patients 110% everyday ... You do too of course, Miki, but you are a badass (compliment!!) with a depth of life experiences that will allow you to take care of everything in building your home and life together. You are and will be "the power behind the throne" you know the saying for every successful man, there is a strong woman behind him ... I love being here to watch y'all. XoXo.

You forgot to mention that if you're a traditional Chinese from mainland, the 5 questions to ask before even a relationship is always: 1) What school did you graduate from and what major? 2) How much money do you have in your bank account? If your number is not in the 7 digits or more, then you're considered as not good enough. 3) How much money are you making now? If your number is not in the 7 digits or more, then you're considered as not good enough. 4) Do you own house? If you own a house, how many do you own? If your answer to this part is no, then you're out of picture. 5) Do you own a car? If you own a car, how many cars do you own? If your answer to this part is no, then you're out of picture. It's so toxic but the reality is that their parents don't want to give their daughter to a guy that can barely financially support himself, let alone a family later on. And the problem with university in China is that, if you didn't go to top 5 university in China, you're basically considered as trash too. So many people graduate with a degree only to use it as a warmer to burn in the winter because they're practically useless, as the competitions are so high. It's the same for Korea and many other Asian countries.

I get how the questions are important but also so judgey. So I don't think refusal to answer is entirely a red flag. I'd question if they're embarrassed about something in their finances. Thinking 'i love this person, but this answer might cause them to decide we're through'. Like what would the person I'm dating think about hearing I collect transformers? Though this video is a reminder that dating is pointless for me. I'm disabled and can't work so my answers to these Q's would be disgusting if a guy looked past I'm disabled. Sad but it's reality.
