This is just what I needed to listen to today :) As a young women who is starting her new professional career in a couple weeks working in a school and I am going to want to keep my training up early in the mornings, but in a healthy and well balanced way- I love your workouts, as I have developed a greater love for myself through them, and I have found I have more energy after doing your workouts more before you promote balance and loving yourself, while fueling yourself. I used to have an extremely toxic relationship with food and exercise, but after doing your workouts, I have found that I feel stronger and healthier, and my body is better fueled. "You are responsible for your body" I love that quote because our bodies are gifts from God and we are called to love them, nourish them, and care for them by using our talents and gifts!

Hi Anna, I just wanted to say how incredible you are for putting this content out there as a fitness influencer. I've had anorexia since age 8, and now at 25, I'm coming out of my worst relapse. Navigating fitness after years of torturing my body is difficult, but your advice on long-term goals instead of short-term fixes has changed my mindset. Now that I'm weight restored, I'm trying to avoid too many intense HIIT cardio workouts and recognize the signs. Your words are impacting so many, and we're all in this together. Love from the UK!❤

At the onset of pandemic, I, like everyone else joined the fitness craze. There is nothing else to do but home workouts. I was following one of the influencers too and I used her programme for almost 2 years until I found this channel and never looked back. I remember as a novice, I was so confused by the nutrition aspects of the exercise and I had a lot of existential questions and self blame when I didn't get what I thought was achievable. Now looking back, it's been about 3 years since I found this channel and used it to do most of my home workouts especially the low impact ones and the tabata exercises that I really liked. I used to think low impact is no impact. I was humbly schooled on this after doing one of the 20mins workout and laid on the floor in a pool of sweat. Thanks Anna for all that you do and inspired in us.

Girl, this is an amazing podcast. I completely agree with the statement about balance and awareness regarding the information you consume about your body, health, and 'right fitness.' I started comparing my body with others' bodies when I was around 12-13 years old, if not earlier, and that’s when my difficult relationship with food began. I absorbed all these 'instructions' and toxic advice on how to build your dream body, including getting abs in 1-2 weeks, and it was awful. I blamed myself because, unsurprisingly, I didn’t get any results or the promised 'ideal' body. I’m sure many of us demonize food, and that’s a big problem. When it comes to addressing the mental gaps we often try to ignore, we don’t realize that food is not our enemy, and we don’t need to punish ourselves with intense workouts. There was a time when I forced myself to get out of bed and exercise without any desire, just because I felt so guilty about eating something I loved. Now, I try to find balance and listen to my body, and every time I move (I love this word as much as you do), I feel that I love this feeling, love being strong and powerful. Moreover, I’m really into your vlogs! They give me time to rest and feel the friendly atmosphere of girly girl days, haha. Thank you for your hard work, and I’m looking forward to your next videos!

I'm glad you provide this space for reflection and not just for consuming exercises and slim bodies. I believe it's important to promote physical activity in our sedentary urban societies, as it allows us to live with a better quality of life and connect with others. I'm from Argentina, a country with serious economic difficulties, and for me, discovering you during the pandemic was essential because I realized I could exercise at home. Even without the money to go to the gym, I could follow you and learn alongside you. I send you a warm hug and hope we can continue growing and learning together for our mutual benefit.

I take rest days when my body tells me, ok i need a break so let’s chill today. If I need to rest a few days in a row, then I do so, and I feel so rejuvenated when I come back to my workout.

Hey anna, I really appreciate you for speaking on such myths regarding fitness as well as sharing your experience to your fans and followers and being so real with them. It's good to hear that increasing weights or weight training doesn't make one bulky, but I lately found out that it's bad nutrition/overeating which makes one look bulky. That's so true what you're saying. I went into the same trap and followed the mentoring of one influencer sold on Instagram and learned from it that many influencers don't have enough knowledge and experience or a too personal look on things. Her individual way did not work at all for my health and so I decided to turn back to the good old books of people who have done enough research to offer only representative knowledge and ideally also several solution ways - and often for much lesser money! I believe too many influencers think what works for them, is good for everyone, but we are all unique and as you say there are also many toxic approaches sold in the social media.

Hi Anna, thankyou so much for this video❤Everything you were saying is so true! Also, as an idea for a future podcast episode, maybe you could do one on tips for dealing with low motivation? Because as a runner I run and workout often, but lately I've just not been feeling as motivated as usual. Like I usually feel really great after a workout or run but these days it's been more and more frequent where I just don't feel happy running anymore. Like I still want to run but it's been hard to get myself to do it right now. I just really want to feel happy running again

Solid take on some very complicated topics. For me, fitness goal is to allow me to do sports I like without injury. Also, I consider a workout good if I have that warm feeling when all the muscles woke up, blood started flowing, stiffness from office work is gone and I feel energized.

Listen to your body. If you are feeling a little tired, and you really want to workout, do 20 minutes. If you are feeling high energy, do 40 minutes and a run. If you are feeling sore, do 30 minutes stretching, yoga or pilates. But keep it to 3-5 times a week max and rest enough en sleep enough and eat as many fresh unprocessed foods as possible
