Sorry in advance for my long winded comment. But my head whipped around real quick when you mentioned the allergies..(psoriasis, eczema, joint pain etc etc). I was an absolute mess before my weight loss. No doctor ever figured out what was really wrong. They suspected lupus or some sort of connective tissue disorder. It was so so bad. Left me scarred for a long time. Caused damage to my skin/joints. Ever since I’ve been watching mainly you and Dr. Mindy Pelz, my life has changed dramatically. I’ve eliminated or close to it, everything you’ve mentioned here. Except for the gluten and some dairy. Will attempt to nix that next. My favorite foods for my journey have been…avocado, celery, peppers, cucumber, chobani zero (yes, artificial sweetener and is dairy.. working on it), organic peanut butter powder, walnuts, skinless almonds, reduced sugar dried cranberries, organic power greens, Braggs w/mother acv, olive oil, red wine vinaigrette dressing, zero mission tortillas, salmon, beef, chicken, turkey. I find when I need a snack. Having healthy options readily available has saved me so many times. I did get a jump start at the very beginning because of how bad my health was. I begged the doctor to put me on something, and he did. Was phentermine. From 207-180ish I had the help of that drug. After that, I used everything I learned during that period and on. It’s not been easy. I’ve fallen off the wagon and climbed back on several times. Made it to 158 pre Thanksgiving.. fell off, got back up to 174-175, now at about 170-171. Like hell I’m going back to misery. Keep fighting ladies 💖 God Bless and Happy New Year 🎊 💖🙏

The main reason alcohol stalls weight loss is because the liver will always work first on processing it, no matter how few carbs you ate throughout the day. You’ll never get into fat-burning mode because the body is trying to “burn” (process) the alcohol. It of course adds calories (and carbs if you’re having beer or sugary drinks), but the alcohol itself, needing to be processed, is the main reason.

Be careful with the electrolyte packets. Especially if you have blood pressure or cardiac issues. 1000mg is a lot because when you think about cooking with salt as well. Cardiac patients usually only can take 2000 mg for example need to be on a low sodium diet. But that one packet has 1000mg. That’s a lot

As someone with Hashimotos Thyroiditis I was advised by my endocrinologist to eat a gluten-free diet. I also eat as little refined sugar and dairy as possible, also lactose intolerant. Seed oils was another thing she mentioned. I was eating a lot of salads and almost all of the store bought salad dressing contain seed oils. I can definitely tell when I eat too much of these ingredients.

Not giving medical advice here, but given the inflammation that attacks the nerves and causes the demyelination affecting hashimoto's, a lot of the myelin that covers the nerves is based in fat. My best friend is a family practice doctor but also got her residency in practical medicine where she recommends dietary alternatives to medication. She mentioned to me about a keto high-fat low-carb diet. Ask your doctor about this as well. I would really go with your doctor since they seem to be educated on a lot of the inflammatory foods that wreak havoc on us. God bless you in your journey. I hope every day is awesome and blessed no matter what❤

For me: Keto diet with Intermittent Fasting. I gave up gluten, alcohol, grains, processed carbs, seed oils veg oils, most peanut foods except occasional organic peanut butter but pour the oil off, most starches and only after 3.5 years I rarely eat after cooking and 24 hr refrigerating creating RESISTANT starches mostly purple sweet potato and unripe green plaintain. I gave up all fruit for 2 years and now eat only small amounts once a day or every other day like 5-6 raspberries or blueberries or 1/4 grapefruit or 1/4 cup organic cranberries or 2 tablespoons of pomegranate or 1 unripe kiwi or 1/3 or 1/2 of smaller unripe wild crabapple or 1/3 or 1/2 wild unripe dwarf pear ( I eat unripe fruit as it has less fructose but they have all the nutrients and I just add my stevia/Erythritol to sweeten them to taste. Also occasionally very green hard unripe mango I use a potato peeler to make slices to top goat cheese on quality keto toast and the sprinkle the mango with stevia and throw real thin layer Swiss cheese on top. Sometimes embed walnuts or pecans in the goat cheese and sprinkle Ceylon Cinnamon inside this open face sandwich treat. Also gave up all lectins and nightshades for 3 years but now I’m adding deseeded organic tomatoes and yellow & orange deseeded bell peppers back in for the lycopene and the polyphenols. Also adding back in organic beets in smaller portions of cold Borscht to help get more nitric oxide development in my body. I lost the 40 lbs. I needed to.and am maintaining the loss. I’m 70.5 yrs. & diabetic.

I have 37 food allergies and it was a big shock when the doctor handed me the results of the allergy blood test. I already knew I had dairy and gluten allergy but the rest was a big shocker; like lettuce. Although he said I could have some because it was low on the allergy list. There was seasoning, too, like turmeric, black pepper, ginger (powdered and root). It's rough and I'm still going through an elimination process.
@leni02104 ай бұрын
I had a similar experience, I took an allergy test at my doctor's office and it came back with 30+ foods I was allergic to. I was shocked and couldn't believe it. Then I checked into a certified clinic where they analyze in detail what you're allergic to, including gut inspection and colposcopy. I spent two full weeks there and the first 5 days they have everyone on a strict rice and potatoes diet to reset your body. The they perform blind tests with several different potential allergy triggers on you (you have to swallow it dissolved in water and you don't know what you're ingesting). I had to journal every day how I felt after the test, had blood test every morning. After two weeks they told me I had a gluten intolerance as well as soy and casein allergy. I'm avoiding these things ever since and no longer suffer from allergy symptoms. TLDR get a second test (preferably a long term, detailed test at a certified clinic) before avoiding 37 foods for the rest of your life.

If they all want something that I just can't make acceptable for myself, I'll cook that on a day when I have suitable leftovers or another option available. I have to give up dairy again! I’ve lost 14 lbs., but I’m still puffy. I did eliminate dairy & gluten together in 2017 for about 3 years. I was starving all day. 😵💫 I need tips please. 😘

I don't know how I live without diet drinks since I hate water and also dairy? I have been mostly on keto and it is one of those things that keeps me on it.

Someone can correct me, but the yeast is in alcohol could be the hindrance. It converts to sugar.

How do you feel about olive oil? It isn’t a seed oil and it’s a monounsaturated fat. I always portion it, when I use it.

Olive oil is very very healthy for you. A necessary, healthy fat in appropriate portions!

I gave up Diet Pepsi a year ago. My question is isn’t that a lot of sodium in the element? I’ve been doing crystal light.

I hear you. I am totally the same about the diet soda and needing the fizz. I quit for 3 weeks and drank Pellegrino or flavored sparkling water instead. Sadly I started drinking the diet soda again. I need to stop. It bloats my belly. Dr. Mindy Pelz says if you can only do one thing, eliminate the bad oils. How can you have honey or maple syrup on Keto? I love honey. It has been explained that our body sees alcohol as a foreign substance. So it will stop fat burning while it tries to get rid of the alcohol.

I agree with 'making things at home'. Meal prepping or even grocery prepping ;having fresh and organic on hand. Clean eating is so worth it and way less than eating out. Besides fast food had really become out of touch with inflation. (two orders of egg rolls& 1 order veggie fried rice was $45 dollars in Minneapolis! ) I nearly choked. But it shamed me to get on the plan and stick to it. Steak and a mini salad is so much more spending$ on a $25 Porterhouse steak to split with hubby. God bless you Mya and happy fall, whatever that looks like in your neighborhood.

You look really young, so my friend wasn’t interested in following you as she said you were too young (we’re in our 40’s & it’s a different fight at this age). However, in this video you said you have kept the weight off for 15 years & you look like an adult in the ‘before’ photos. Sooo… I am thinking you have some clout in this weight loss war!? You may look like a youngster, but you have some years under your belt! Respect 🫡 Even more inspiring!!!

It's not the gluten, it's the modified wheat and glysophate (round up). This is a recent problem.

@@truncinesaulsberry9664 you got this! I struggled at first and every day I made it I put X on the calendar day and eventually it wasn't the first thing on my mind in the evening...7 months so far and I don't miss the feeling of what alcohol did at all. good luck!
