Poutine is generally tops for me but enjoying Nanaimo Bars on a warm afternoon OR (for adults) on a cold evening with the fire going and a glass of your favorite alcoholic beverage (I like them with either port or Canadian whiskey). If there's a #6...I'm looking forward to enjoying my first Beavertails this coming year. 8 times in Canada and never had one yet, can you believe it!

Ahh, I may have seen & thinking of this video, when Marc described the poutine as "squidgy", just like you did in the Belarus-food video to call the Babka "squidgy",.. That's too funny. THe Nanaimo bars are very much something that has to be exclusively Canadian, as I'm betting most anyone in the US hasn't heard of them, unless having spent time visiting around up there. Butter Tarts are yet another dessert that we've never heard of, being south of the border of there. Finally, your 'Tiger Tail' ice cream, sounds interesting, but as I'm totally not a fan of black licorice, so debatable to want to try it. I'd try a very small spoon of it once I think but that's it. Anyway, I loved watching the video. Take care.

what about beaver tails for breakfast or timbits
@EileenAldis5 жыл бұрын
haha I don't know about beaver tails for breakfast but those are both excellent ideas for a part 2 of this video. Maybe need a whole video dedicated to Timmie's though 🇨🇦
@tommya85275 жыл бұрын
@@EileenAldis it would be a good idea for a whole vid just for tim hortons

Don't buy frozen Nanaimo bars, bake them yourself! Bake your butter tarts too! Old Dutch ketchup chips are tastier than Lay's.
@EileenAldis6 жыл бұрын
It'd be nice to make them yourself but, of course, not always practical.

FYI, Dill Pickle Chips *ARE* available in The States...
@EileenAldis6 жыл бұрын
Good to know they're crossing the border now haha 😋Have you found them in one particular store or lots of places?
@supergeek14186 жыл бұрын
@@EileenAldis I've generally found them in truck stops in Florida, and other places selling "Road Food". Still waiting for Poutine and Butter Tarts, though...
@mottledbrain6 жыл бұрын
a) I've never tried poutine and doubt that I ever will. French fries with gravy and cheese curds? YUCK! b) Re butter tarts: If anyone's south of Ottawa ON head to Kemptville. "The Crusty Baker" will gladly serve you *bacon butter tarts* (but they were all out last time I was there). c) Frozen Nanaimo Bars? I've only seen the fresh made ones.
@EileenAldis6 жыл бұрын
I recommend at least giving poutine a try - might surprise you! And fresh Nanaimo bars are of course great but we usually had these from M and M growing up and I love them too :)
