Felicity is probably the most successful college show, actually lasting 4 seasons til graduation. Class of '96 coincided with my fresh year of college. I remember watching it in my dorm room, thinking why is the guy from Iron Eagle playing a Freshman. He's like 30 years old!!
@Madbandit77 Жыл бұрын
Actually, A Different World is the most successful college TV show, having six seasons. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Different_World. It's expected for a college show to last four seasons since most college students get a four year degree.

@@Madbandit77 another reason for four seasons is that use to be the minimum for syndication, especially if they could squeeze 25 episodes a season! Use to be, for a show that only lasted 1 to 3 seasons to hit syndication it would have to be sold as a "package" with another show.

"Executive producer" is sometimes an honorary title for someone connected to a property who doesn't necessarily actually have much involvement with a production. I don't know if this applies to Reitman and "Delta House," but it's a possibility.

Class of '96 either followed or was followed by another show called Key West that I recall liking as well and only lasted a season... I am not sure that any of these shows would do great on physical media, but I always think Class of '96, Boston Common, TV 101 or Hull High would be a no brainer for Mill Creek or Echo Bridge to put out on DVD to be sold for $10-$15 at Target or Walmart... and if streamers are looking for content to get eyeballs back on their platforms shows like all of the ones high lighted in this video would be a way to get some viewers with the promise of "Matt LaBlanc before Friends" or "Early Michelle Phiffer" along with viewers who just want to see mid budget TV of an era and hear the slang, see the hair cuts and clothes.
