i remember Makin It. 1979 was the end of a lot of things, since people couldn't seem to get rid of that decade fast enough. i remember being at the urinal while in 4th grade, coming back to school after summer break, and my best friend walked in and stood at the one next to me, looked over his shoulder at my pants and said, "you know bellbottoms are out of style, right?" i was devastated. i asked my sister, the fashionista if that were true and she said, "yeah, wraithy, but i didn't want to tell you, because i know you like them so much." after that, i found out that the dance the funky chicken wasn't cool to do anymore. 1979, yo, it was hard for a grade schooler.

The only one of these I heard of was "My Mother The Car," and that was by chance I saw it on a rerun channel. I remember the Baby Bob Quinozs commercials. I'm kind of surprised I even remember Quiznos.

Adult Party Cartoon was absolutely amazingly great, it was a worthy successor to Ren and Stimpy in every way, no one properly understands it, and I will always defend it as being objectively great and misunderstood by morons who never even watched it and only jumped on a bandwagon because they were too stupid to understand how much of an enhancement it was to the original show's purpose and quality. Ren and Stimpy was one of the greatest animated television shows of all time and Adult Party Cartoon was everything Ren and Stimpy ever was, but more, and dialed up to 11. It must be defended by someone who actually understands it for once because the idiotic slander it continues to get is incredibly unfair and very uncalled for. The fact that people list APC which was great, and NEVER puts Stripperella and Gary The Rat on a list of the worst instead, the two VASTLY WORSE shows it aired WITH, is unforgivable and criminal. Adult Party Cartoon was objectively great and John K was a fucking genius, even if he was an asshole and socially maladjusted on top of that. But that had nothing to do with his genuis as an animator and a show-runner and APC will still always be his living masterpiece, no matter how misunderstood it continues to be from people who don't even know what the hell they're even talking about when they bring it up.

1. if you think about it "Knight Rider" was essentially "if My Mother The Car" was an Action-Adventure series. 2. "Makin' it" was Such a Cash Grab, but the SONG is still A BANGER. and 3. you should find "The Great Tv Sitcom Book" by Rick Mitz it has every tv sitcom ever made up to 1980.

Makin' It also has the dubious distinction of being the first TV show to be canceled so quickly that its theme song was still on the charts when it got yanked off the air. I think that didn't happen again until the 1990s when The Heights got taken off the air before "How Do You Talk to An Angel?" left the charts.

As a child, I loved "My Mother the Car", and bought the 1/25th scale model AMT put out. I was able to locate a bootleg of the series on Ebay, and on the recent re-watching found it an amusing enough series. A series created by writers from the old "Rocky and Bullwinkle" series, can't be that bad.

The current heads of studios seem just about morally bankrupt and out of ideas enough to try out another primate show. They'd probably screw it up though and make the primate CG. For good forgotten shows I recommend "The Charmings" from the late 80's, it had an edge to the humor and a great cast.

It's actually kind of ironic- Van Dyke turned down the role of "Gilligan" to "star" in "My Mother the Car". Hindsight being what it is, I can't picture Alan Hale having the same chemistry with Van Dyke as he did with Bob Denver, although Craig T Nelson made it work in "Coach".

You might want to check out an anthology series that Universal tried out on NBC as a mid-season replacement in early 1979 called CLIFFHANGERS, which was made up of three different shows in an hour. One was a take off on THE PERILS OF PAULINE called STOP SUSAN WILLIAMS, one was a western/Sci-Fi pastiche called THE SECRET EMPIRE with Geoffrey Scott and the third was a Dracula show with Michael Nouri playing the count as a teacher in San Francisco. The shows had chapter headings and the series began with the various shows already in progress. The hope was to have the separate shows spinoff into their own series but the show did not make it past the 10th episode (one episode did not air) and only the Dracula section concluded while the other two concluded in the unaired episode which was shown overseas.

Considering how unpredictable and insanely violent chimps can be, they were lucky Me And The Chimp managed to produce thirteen episodes. I think TBBT was a perfectly fine show until the characters actually started pairing off and getting married. It stopped being a show about geeks that had fun with geek culture and became a nasty, mean spirited show about people in bad relationships that just happened to occasionally reference geek culture.

My Mother the Car is on the same level as other fantasy shows like The Munsters, Jeannie, and Bewitched. It had high viewership from children and would've become a classic if it had lasted long enough to get syndicated. Its bad reputation primarily stems from the fact that Johnny Carson regularly used it as a punchline. However, I completely agree with Jerry being the all-time worst. We didn't have the sleazy, mean-spirited sensationalism that's so prevalent today before Jerry came along and changed the TV landscape.

I quite liked Sheldon's character arc as he slowly grew closer to becoming a human being. Or at least managed to recognize his shortcomings and control them to some extent. I thought that was all handled quite sensitively at times, especially in the episode where he forced Leonard to wear the itchy sweater on his bare skin so he could feel what it felt like in his own mind when his OCD was flaring up.

I like it before they focused too much on the relationship drama (tbh, they should’ve not created Amy, she was the biggest reason I stopped watching), but I hate how people treated it as a bad show, the earlier seasons were quite enjoyable at least to me. I definitely think it got worse towards the end, plus season 12 was completely boring and unnecessary.

As soon as Wolowitz got married is about when I noticed a sharp departure in what I liked about the show. Then once you bloat the cast like they did, everyone we want to see has to give up more time to see people we don't. I don't even remember when I finally just walked away... but I remember going 4 or 5 episodes without laughing a single time and just saying "i'm out. I don't care anymore."

I will, mostly because I don't like leaving things half done. The problem is, they do so poorly it actually hurts the channel. (In KZbin logic - less people view the Master videos = less people are interested in the content = sends out less notifications for future videos) So essentially, they view it as since less people click on The Master videos, that means they are no longer interested in the content I do and thus, they stop recommending future videos.

The TV guide list is questionable but this was a fun video. I would highly recommend picking up the book What Were They Thinking?: The 100 Dumbest Events In Television History. It's a fun read and a treasure trove of potential material for more bad TV shows.

Cecil there’s a wiki online called the terrible tv shows wiki It’s actually worse than the tv guide’s 50 worst tv shows list Now granted there are some shows I agree with but my issue with that wiki is that a lot of the show they hate are way too interchangeable and way too incomprehensible And yes the wiki got some reasons from tv tropes (which I’m not a fan of)

Tv guide list has one of my favorite shows unhappily ever after on it's worst tv show list that show got unfair criticism it was like a mix between married with children and get a life bobcat goldthwait voicing a talking stuffed bunny called Mr floppy wasn't even the weirdest thing on the show love to see you review it

The fan faves of the series to date. Nightmare Cafe is my favorite show that you've covered on your series to date. On another note, have you ever had a Mandela Effect around a TV show? Something you swear remembering one way, only to discover that it isn't like that at all now? I have a Mandela Effect around two shows from the 90s. I distinctly recall UPN shows The Strip and The Watcher being on Tuesday nights back to back in 95 &/or 96. Now? According to Wikipedia,they were never aired within 3 years of each other. Now there's a big problem with this. The reason I remember it so well is because they both took place in Vegas and I figured that they might have saved money by using the same crews. I also told my family when they ask what I was doing that night, I said "It's Vegas night on tv." Now, records say The Watcher with Sir Mix-a-Lot was on Tuesday nights in 95. But they now say that The Strip was on Friday nights in 99. Huh?

everytime i see your list videos I go and search 20 different pirate websites to find them. 90% of the time ill get at least the first several episodes or often the whole show. Today though I found zero of these, haha. they MUST have been bad, given that I didn't even see a dead torrent from any time in history for even a single episode
