Your 30-30-30 method has transformed my life. I'm a long time martial artist but had to quit and I continue my craft in my basement on a heavy bag. I have pounds to lose and the bag is so versatile that I was always looking for a easy, effective workout. I insert 30s breaks between techniques because by the 15m mark of doing this, it's downright BRUTAL (for a non-fighter). I'm usually in my peak heartrate zone and I only last about 25m per session. I've been looking to thank you for your content and ideas. I feel fantastic and I'm ripping the hell out of a 100lb bag that used to feel heavy and hard.

try this one : 10 push ups - 10 punches 9push ups - 9 punches 8 push ups - 8 punches 7push ups - 7 punches ... go all the way down to "0" without stopping focus on fully extending when you push up, and focus on speed rather than power when punching

Nice👌, you can tell alot about how a person fights by watching them train. This guy actually knows how to use the heavy bag properly (unlike alot of people who basically just "Ego punch" the bag) You can instantly see that this guy is actually experienced in combat, sparring & competing. Great video & Advice👍

I like what you said about switching stances to improve certain elements of a particular strike. As a beginner, I had trouble doing a hook with my right overhand so I started doing right hooks on the bag from a southpaw stance and when I switched back to orthodox, I was able to whip better using more hips and less shoulder.

As an older guy, a lot of the time I simulate an injury (or sometimes it's real) like a damaged/broken hand one minute into a round. Have a strategy and be able to fight with that simulated injury to get out of that round and survive to the next one.

Shane I am only new to MMA training... literally like two weeks in, practicing everyday and loving it! I've only had one lesson with a fella from my local MMA gym and he showed me the basics on footwork, jabs and the cross. On the side I have been watching your vids and practicing what you are teaching as well and I am so impressed at how much I am learning from your vids and how quickly my form is improving. I was practicing the dutch knee drill today i need to watch it again but yeah it felt good. I can't wait to try out the first heavy bag drill you showed us. I can already see how long it is going to take me to think it through, i expect it to be pretty clunky at first. I am already wondering however what the best defence will be for the various final throws. Do you have a vid for that? Thanks bro! I really appreciate this channel!

Put your hand in the air and spin as fast as you can for 10-20 seconds then work the heavy bag this simulates getting hit with a knockout shot and withstanding it once you've adjusted do it again

Hi Shane can person have natural power as I train at mo but we have boxing coaches martial art coaches when we practice on pads or spar all my power comes from my waist not feet there training me to bring it from floor up but some time I forget but still produce power in both punches as I'm always looking for big punch down stairs then go for big right over the top

Hey, mr shane. Ive been boxing for 2years now. I use a heavy bag filled with just sand. Its about 100 pounds. I use 14oz gloves without hand wraps. Ive been doing it for a long time and the skin on my knuckes just turned black but i dont feel any pain in the bones. Is it ok if i continue to box on it? Its an old video but you are pretty active on utube. I hope u can help or anyone who reads the comment if you have any tip it would be very helpful.
