This could end up being a long comment, but I am sure my input will help many that read what I am about to share! I had arthritis, My Doctor told me that there was no cure, That was the day when I purchased a laptop and searched the net watching blogs like yours Dr Williams! I started adding turmeric and cumin/black pepper too my meals - Arthritis gone - That was ten years ago and I still add those spices to my meals! My Wife had a stroke 6 years ago, so I ended up taken her out of Hospital and cared for her! I cook and I found many foods to use to establish health in our old age! I make a drink up that I take with my pills- I have (colitis) Statin. The drink is two crushed lemons, apple cider, turmeric/cumin/black pepper and a spoon of honey and some hot water to dissolve the honey. keep it in the fridge. I have a box of mixed nuts that I make up - Walnuts/pin nuts/almond flakes, Pumpkin seeds and a few others, I take a mouthful every day! I make what I call a snack box - Spinach/rocket chopped up, brown mushrooms, chopped up, tomato's, chopped up, cucumber, yeah - chopped up, Sardines or mackerel, chopped up, Avocado chopped up, then add cottage cheese, or a tin of chopped tomato's, add turmeric/Cumin/ black pepper, Garlic. I do not eat farmed salmon, as they are fed toxic feed, also stopped eating Tuna, as it contains a lot of mercury/toxic! Wild Salmon yes I will eat, but that is rear as it is so expensive! I can't eat red meat, as I have colitis, but I can eat Liver which I cook without flour, add a tin of chopped tomato's, add the spices from above with black pepper, Garlic and mixed veg, simmer for half an hour, this creates 3 meals in which I freeze. I am 74 years young, I am active, being a non paid carer, now a house Husband, Gardener, taxi driver etc! OH I am also a lawn bowler! I do between 10.000, to 30.000 steps a day! I stopped eating bread and potato's and I have lost a stone and a half these past 5 months! Credit due to the likes of Dr Williams and many others! Don't rely on your Doctor finding a cure for you - do your own investigation! There are so many cures in food in which the likes of Dr Williams has shown US! There are many foods I have not mentioned like beetroot and many others - It is now up to you guys to search for yourselves! Doctors are like detectives - You too can be one! Take care of yourself - As no one else will! FACT!

I also am 74 and have taken care of many (worn myself out) now that my health is declining I have no one to take care of me but have a family situation that really needs my help! So your post has inspired me to try harder. Thank you I hope I run into other long post of yours or if you have a site that we could get advice from you would be great I try to find sites that will help because I find that the Medical drs don’t really have time too.. only won’t to write prescriptions

Hey Dr. Lee. I love you KZbin channel. I have learned a lot over the years. I had prostate cancer stage 4. Psa was 700. Now it’s 0.1!!! I was wheel chair and walker ridden for 2 years, weighing 90 LB. Now I’m 140 Lb. Do heavy lifting in the gym. No chemo, radiation or surgery!!! Only cancer capsules and Lupron every 3 months. Very little side effects if any. I drink vegetable juice 40 ounces a day. Intermittent fasting, absolutely no meat, sugar or processed foods!!!staying super positive, excited, laughing in the mirror at my self. Listening to rock music and much more. The only thing I’m concerned about is cacao has heavy metals. Although I do eat a piece of 90% cacao with green tea first thing in the morning. What do you think?

Great video. I buy organic apples, but when I scrape the skin with the edge of the knife I see this white powder like substance that comes off it. I dont know what they apply to the skin but even organic is not safe anymore
@Arugula100Күн бұрын
Wash the fruits with baking soda. Use baking soda like a cleanser. The whitish substance is a waxy coating used to make the apples shine and protect it from injury during transport. Using baking soda to scrub the apple will solve that.
@MapleandTwineКүн бұрын
Apples create their own wax (epicuticular wax) as a protective barrier. Some apple growers will wash their apples before packing them, this can remove the natural protective layer, so to compensate they coat them in a new wax layer. You can probably search which brand you buy to see what wax they apply - if they're organic then it may be the fruits natural wax.

Hello Dr Li, is it healthier to eat raw walnuts or is it better to roast them❓ Thank you
@stlounsbury19 сағат бұрын
Good question. I hate the taste of raw, so I lightly toast mine in a pan for several seconds. Much better tasting toasted. I would think, but Doc of course knows better, that light toasting might develop the nutrients availability better than if eaten raw. IMO of course.

Wrong, Dr. Li, most dried fruit have been processed with sulphite and sugar, to keep its colour and freshness for on the shelf longevity. Organic, non processed dried fruit is so expensive, most people, myself included, can't afford it. Since electricity is going up in price as well, I can't afford to dry my own. It takes days. I live in British Columbia, so there is not enough sun to sundry them. If you have space outside that is not infested with bugs slugs and birds. We have apples and pears, which keep for awhile, but not all winter. Another example of why the middle income people who worked hard all their lives are getting sick, while the rich, who probably stole it from the poor, are healthier. God only knows what is going to happen to them.
