We are in South Orange County and was talking to my wife about how Oct 95 degrees is not as hot as July 95 degrees. Been gardening for a few years but this year, really noticed how the sun angle has changed now vs July. Your video explained both of these observations.

I'm ready to add more soil, etc to my raised beds. The soil level has decomposed significantly. I happen to have a bunch of italian parsley thriving in that bed. I'm not sure if I should sacrifice the parsley to add soil or what to do.. This seems to happen every year and I never really know how to handle the crop that is thriving in that situation. Any ideas? ;)

There are some differences (especially if you're in a really hot area), so these are general things for anyone in these zones, but each person will have to adjust according to their own garden & micro-climate

Potatoes are from Peru/Andes Mountians, they didn't show up in Europe until the mid 1500s; and to Ireland specifically in 1589.

What a wealth of knowledge! I’m starting to love gardening because of San Diego Seed Company 🙏🏼 Question: Is it too late to start onions from seed? I’m in Ventura County zone 9b. This will be the very first time I’m growing onions.

Should I be paying attention to where in my garden I plant, how do I tell what area is best.
@SanDiegoSeedCompany11 ай бұрын
Pay attention to things like trees, building, fences, etc. that can cast shade, especially in the morning, afternoon, or depending on the time of year (ex. the south end of your property with a fence might get shaded in the winter).

@@SanDiegoSeedCompany yea, im trying figure out how to go about it. I see some on here ( you tube) talk about digging down for wells. Im just wondering do you know about that in zone 9 and 10? I do collect and conserve where its possible and reuse for the very small garden but would like a bigger one with alot more crops.
