The harsh truth I've recently realised is that being assertive, having boundaries etc is necessary to have a moral spine, and that it's more important than "being nice".
@spicymemes74582 ай бұрын
You can do both? It's not either or.
@emiliamadejka10582 ай бұрын
@@spicymemes7458 With „being nice” I mean not honest, genuine kindness (which is a great trait, don’t get me wrong) but being afraid to say no only because someone might get upset, even if saying „no” in such case is necessary to respect our boundaries.

Yeah a couple of harsh truths I’ve realized recently are 1. Boundaries are important to having healthy relationships 2. Being productive and working all the time can be a cover up to avoiding your problems. Recovering workaholic right here I’m 27 so older Gen Z right here

I love your channel! The Instagram-friendship highlights are sooo real!! I have never posted my personal social life to social media before, but still felt so out of place seeing my friends post photos with each other or people going out and being so social! But I found, when talking to friends who I see as charismatic, highly social, or well-adored, that often times, their friendships are not always that "close/intimate" as they appear to be and they have their own issues with loneliness or socializing - they're just different from my own. Instagram is a trap! Also your thoughts on friendship and boundaries are so spot on! Everyone needs to hear these things, it would save so many from abusive relationships if they can really listen. But unfortunately, often we only learn through experience.

People may desire success in a specific field but lack the necessary skills, knowledge, or experience to achieve it. This gap can lead to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt when faced with the demands of success

I found your Chanel today and I’m impressed, this is exactly what I was looking for! You help me feel less alone. The unhealthy friendship thing is real for me. This year i had a friendship breakup , in march and I’m still not over it. This friendship was so special to me bc it was like understanding each other on another level, it’s just not like any other friendship and I can’t help just missing it. Thanks for helping us learn the hard lessons in life👏🏼

I am one of those who feel as though people leave me when they notice out how damaged i am. I am acutely aware of how uncomfortable it is to be the friend of a hurt person. I try very hard to not let my issues affect my friendships in any way. I act fine as hard as i can. Sometimes i trust someone enough to let them know how I'm really feeling and it's always a bad idea. Anyway ¾ of the way through this video and i can't stay subscribed to you any more, i can't even carry on listening bc of your thoughts on "why am i this person's only friend" and one not trying to be someone's saviour. That's me. Trouble with offering safe space blindly online is that you have to come down in favour of a certain population at the expense of another and you don't know who. None of this is anyone's fault and I'm rambling. Ok, sorry, i can't stay subscribed and engaged, you've got some great stuff here, keep it up and best of luck x
