Great ideas. I've made brownies using a mix and a can of canned pumpkin. Not the pumpkin pie mix but canned pumpkin. They turn out super fudgey and delicious. I gave some to my best friend who isn't a fan of pumpkin and she didn't even notice it had pumpkin in them!

I totally understand. I filmed this a few weeks after switching back to WW (I took a few months off to count calories) and I guess my mind was back to points yet. I did much better in the rest of the series. Thanks for the feedback. Take care.

I like the idea of making muffins with the Pillsbury SF cake mix. I realize you said you don’t really measure, but could you give an approximation of the ingredients? I love to cook but I have to have a recipe to refer to. I’m especially interested in your banana muffins. My daughter & my husband & I all love muffins. Here’s a couple of things I do. For lunch lightly toast a bagel, then spread cream Cheese or laughing cow on it, next comes thinly sliced cucumber followed by a sprinkling of dill weed. I use the jarred but fresh would be good too. Also for breakfast or a snack, if you’re trying to get more protein, 1/2 of a fruit flavor Oikos yogurt, then add 1 serving of the cottage cheese you prefer (I usually go for no fat) mix the 2 together, add 1-2 T of granola & finally some fresh blueberries & sprinkle some cinnamon on top. It is so delicious & really keeps you full. I watched your channel for the first time today & will be back. You have some great ideas. Thank you.

Yep I freeze them all the time. Never knew I could before ww either! I typically take one out the night before and leaving it in the refrigerator overnight and then heat in the air fryer for 4 to 6 minutes depending on the size. I do open them up to heat. Thanks for watching.

I really have a sweet tooth how many points would those muffin be if I make 12 or 24muffins?
@brandiwasek Жыл бұрын
If only made 12 muffins they would be 4 points each. If did 24, 2 points each. The sugar free cake mix (entire box unprepared) is 43 points. So if only add in 0 point foods (unsweetened applesauce, or eggs, or bananas) then just divide 43 by how many muffins you get.

Do you have banana muffin recipe?
@brandiwasek2 жыл бұрын
Yes! 1 sugar free yellow cake mix, 3 over ripe bananas, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 1/4 cup walnuts (or pecans), 2 eggs, 5 tablespoons brown sugar replacement (I use swerve). Whisk the eggs and add the banana and mash (I use a potato masher). Add all the remaining ingredients and mix until blended. For muffins I use cupcake liners or silicone liners (typically I get anywhere from 18-22 muffins, it depends on the size of the bananas) and bake according to the cake box instructions. Thanks.

How many points is each breakfast. Thank you
@brandiwasek Жыл бұрын

Hi Carolyn. I totally agree and I apoligize. This was one of my first video coming off calorie counting and running back to WW, so I think that's why my brain wasn't set to points as much as it should have been. Part 2 (lunch) I did focus more on points and will in part 3 too. All my other videos I alwasy make the points super clear. Thanks for the comment and watching.

Why do you stay on WW if you have found that you are eating far more points then you are given, and still losing?I ask because I feel like I get very few calories if I follow and track everything with WW, so I use the zero point food list for the purple plan they had a few years ago, and then track anything else.I have been losing, it is working much better then when I was just counting calories, so I keep paying, but sometimes I wonder why I do lol.
@brandiwasek2 жыл бұрын
Great points and question. I had great success on WW for my first 6 months when the program was just the colors (I was green), but when it changed to personal points I stalled and last summer did drop WW for counting calories, because I was eating too few calories on the new program (I have a video about points vs calories). I counted calories for about 4 months and gained 5-10 pounds, and found I was mainly eating within my calorie goal but wasn’t full because I was making poor food choices and then would snack, which may be responsible for my gain. However, I am lifting weights more now so that may also be where the weight/hunger came from. Anyhow, I decided to crawl back to WW since they got away from the personal plan (video about that too). I’m really trying to focus on the zero-point foods and see if I can make my 23 points a day work (they also increased my weeklies earlier this week from 21 to 29!). I’ve never had this many free foods so I’m excited to try it. If I find I still can’t remain within my points, then I’m going to do some math and determine on average how many points = my calorie goal and then switch my plan to maintenance and increase my point to match my calorie goal. I’m picking this option because I find it easier to think in terms of points vs calories, and like having zero-point foods available when I’m out of calories but hungry, and WW gives me that. Thanks for watching.

Hi Christine, I agree with you. When I filmed this it was when I was first transitioning from counting calories back to WW (took a few months off), so I guess that is why my mind went to calories vs. points. I think I did better mentioning points in my lunch video and certainly will in my dinner video. Thanks for the feedback.
