Yakult has 38% more sugar than coke! A tiny 65ml bottle of Yakult has 2.4 teaspoons of sugar, whereas coke has 1.7 teaspoons of sugar per 65ml. Since Yakult comes in small 65ml sizes, it is very easy to consume 2-3 Yakult bottles in one-go.

Dr Pal, this is the one KZbin channel that has successfully managed to change my eating habits. Eating after 6 is a thing of the past for me now and even though I am on some steroid medication, my weight seems to be relatively stable because of this. I feel much lighter and my body has stabilised to this routine now. Hoping to continue the same further ahead. Thank you! 🙏

This is awesome! our grannies always knew what was best to our gut which we thought it is old fashioned & stated to consume more & more packaged foods in the name of becoming modern or civilised! The real question is are we any more healthy & joyful than our previous generations? Thank you Dr.Pal & foodpharmer for showing the world what is the alternate way of doing! Too too good love it and need more such videos that will highlight the benefits of simple home made Indian foods that our grandparent & great grandparents used to have, following the “6 taste concept” as defined in Ayurveda!

Don't get fixated on the past. There are good things everywhere. Indian foods is one of the worst in the world: overcooked, very high in carb, low on essential proteins, high on fried, low on fruits and vegetables, , ... Sensible people learn from everyone and move on...

Definitely not healthy than grannies. But few grannies are nasty, sorry but facts. So happy? Depends They lived a confined life, we have much more freedom, much more choices. And we know how to set boundaries.

So most of us are using pasteurised milk and the question is does the curd made of pasteurised milk have enough probiotic ?
@smsabnam
@smsabnam 10 ай бұрын
Yes, because the curd starter or inoculum has bacteria which will then multiply and turn the milk into curd. Pasteurising milk just ensures there is no harmful bacteria in the milk itself.

almost all of beneficial bacteria in curd get killed by stomach acid, only benefit of curd is that the beneficial bacteria break down lactose so the curd feels easy on the gut

Not really. Yoghurt has probiotics but not a lot. Probiotic supplements are useful especially to repopulate gut bacteria post having a course of anti biotic or if you have been eating lots of processed/junk food.

@@aprilblossoms4but the microbiome is unique to every individual. You don't know which bacteria you have. Or which bacteria u need. Also which bacteria were wiped out by antibiotics. Those bacteria u consume have to go through the harsh acidic environment of the stomach. Even after reaching the small intestine they have to face the already existing bacteria there. We are still far from tailoring probiotics for our own gut biome. It's still worth a shot if you have had a big course of antibiotics or if u have IBS. But it's not the only thing that'll improve your gut health

Super doctor..I am glad that I know you in my early age itself...I have faced so many chronic diseases from my young age itself but I am not aware it is due to my selection of food...After watching your videos I started to invest in my health..First I begin intermittent fasting to reduce weight but after watching your videos i gain knowledge so that now I am able to overcome my cravings, started to eat only healthy able to differentiate what we eat are healthy or only tasty...Thanks to your wife Priya, cause of her insight now I am able to pick healthy food only when i am eating outside...And concentrating more on quantity and quality of food than taste, it is not a short journey, because of the knowledge you shared l am able to do it forever....I started walking, jogging, basic streching in yoga it is all making me so happy...Again thank you so much for sharing these much valuable information again and again ❤

You can have sweet and probiotics in moderation. Just not every day. Think of them as desserts rather than beneficial foods. If you like yogurt with sugar, maybe use coconut sugar or palm sugar instead of cane sugar. Sweeten your yogurt sparingly every now and then, and get used to the original flavor. Lassi should also be an occasional indulgence. Dr. Paul never tells you to avoid some thing that you enjoy. Just don’t fool yourself into thinking that sweetened food and drink as well as alcohol are healthy.

@@daywill8849 I've stabalized. Measures: 1. Eliminating Simple carbs like rice & wheat-roti, replacing them with multigrain roti. I also had to avoid specific spices like pepper and red-chilli. Atleast one whole cucumber a day and yooghurt pretty much with every meal. Close to no packaged food(especially sugary ones). Switching to lactose -free millk. LOTS of fruits(which are not very sweet) For snacks I would try multigrain based non-fried chips... 2. Dinner btw (6.30-8pm), When i ate was more imp than what i ate. i had to fix my routine of all my three meals. 3. Sleep was a very crucial step. Earlier i used to sleep whenever i felt like . But i had to change it all. Sleep by max 11pm. Atleast 8 hrs. During peak IBS if i slept less than 8hrs, i would wake with uneasiness in gut. I did above 3 steps for 4-5 months I think treating IBS is like basically fixing Lifestyle, you need to identify whats wrong with your lifestyle , and fix them one at a time.🙂 Take care

Dr. Pal, sorry, this might be off topic. In the fasting window, does the number of times one eats, matter? My fasting insulin level was 18.1, Hba1C 5.5, FBS 92.6, and post prandial 107. A doctor named Dr. Jagannath Dixit who has waged a war against type 2 diabetes urges the public not to eat more than twice in the eating window. He says each meal causes an insulin spike and more than 2 insulin spikes leads to insulin resistance, and later type 2 diabetes. Thoughts? Can you please make a video on frequency of eating in the fasting window? Thanks much.

You truly stand out among others by offering your services without any fee. I admire how you are similar to the famous Dr. Kalam in India, as he always prioritized the well-being of his people and his country throughout his life. I believe you also have a similar commitment to serving India. Please refrain from mentioning your family, such as your wife, during media interviews as we are solely interested in your professional expertise. I understand that some individuals possess the ability to save or support others, but non-professionals can only offer assistance in smaller ways, much like our parents and family members. Eat a whole food plant based diet. That should fix digestive issues like IBS or diarrhea.

Hello Dr., I really have a question. I am a software engineer. Have a desk job 9-6. After getting inspired from u, I have started taking breaks. I nvr smoke or drink. I don't consume soft drinks either bt once in 2-3 months I take occasional maza. I am 31 yrs old, 4feet 9inch tall and weigh 49kg. I know my weight is under control. But m very shapeless. Too much loose skin on belly. So in my breaks I use staircase as exercise tool. I take break in office 3 times. I get down 10 stories building n then climb up too. Which is roughly around 300 staircase. It feels really good. My question is, this method good for overall health or I need to do something else? Is it equals to 10000 steps a day?? M really confused
