Classic beef story...I’m from the KSN crew ..LA. Our crew became the MSK crew. In 88 our rival crew was WCA..west coast art (aka wet toast) lead by Risky. He was always jealous of our crew. His own crew members liked us more and hung out with us more. Risky is a rich kid with connections. He connected with JA ..and when JA came to LA in 88 to be in the movie “karate kid 3” risky asked him to dis our stuff. We had the first wild style burner ever done on melrose running (it’s featured on the KSN band “Excel”s album back photo). A friend of our crew happened to be there as JA was dissing it. He’s a guy named “Danny boy” who is in the group “house of pain”. So Danny sees JA and runs up and says “what the fuck are you doing?..that’s my friends piece..and I’m gonna beat your ass!” JA backs up to his car and opens the trunk and pulls out a gun. Danny says “fuck you!...shoot me!” . JA got in his car and left. Photo shoot for the album was the next day. The piece was quickly fixed but you can still see a little of the JA crap. JA did a roller block on the breakwater wall at Venice and my boy Relm KSN wrote “Jack Ass” in it like a tag and I swear a dozen writers thought JA stood for Jack ass for months. Oddly ..years later Relm moved to NY and joined JA’s crew ..XTC , AOK and COD and pieced regularly with wane etc. that’s how the world is now though. Graf is universal. It was humorous when JA dissed that giant Saber LA wash piece. Total stunt. JA ...Just Another fly on the dope shit. Thee KSN crew LA.

You know why KEZ5 would sometimes put a bump on his letter “E” when doing a throwie, it’s because he got into a fight with BRUZ and got a bump on his head. If I’m not mistaken the two later squashed the beef and began to destroy stuff together, especially the 7 line. I remember going to school every morning on Mondays just waiting to see the new stuff put up across the rooftops on the 7 line, these dudes had it on lock in the early to mid 90’s, NATO was another one killing the 7 line too. NYC was no joke back then, you had to seriously watch your back and you always had to roll deep because dudes would wander around in mobs, I remember once a friend and I were under the Tri Boro Bridge and I was probably 13 or so, we were lightning fireworks and I had on a dope electric blue Jansport backpack and I kid you not about 10-15 heads from the Astoria projects rolled up on us from every angle on Cresent st. and Hoyt ave south, needless to say my Jansport backpack was no longer mine, thankfully they took the bag and just bounced because back then you could have easily got shanked up or even shot dead for something as stupid as a Starter jacket or a Jansport backpack, dang kids today have no idea how it was back then. When you walked around especially by yourself you was on the lookout 👀, damn I have way too many stories to tell, the police were gangsta back then too, nothing compared to today, these cops don’t even look twice, back then the cops would roll up onto the sidewalk just to stop you and then get out and break your balls for no reason at all, lol NYC has changed a lot, the city is definitely a whole lot safer now and that’s a good thing.

Hey, dope video, apart from one thing: BANKSY was actually older than ROBBO, and had been writing longer than him. In fact, the two of them were probably old friends, and the whole beef was fake. BANKSY is actually original UK writer 3D, from Bristol, who started writing in around 1982, but he is better known as the lead singer/MC in the group Massive Attack. This fact was accidentally revealed by that other UK graff original GOLDIE, from Wolverhampton, who is better known as a Drum 'n' Bass producer/DJ, during a radio interview a few years ago. If you want to see/hear BANKSY, aka 3D, check out the old UK graffiti documentary called 'Bombin'', from the mid-'80s, which is on here, and also features the T.A.T.S. Crew from New York.

Why would Goldie have said what he said if it wasn't true?

Kaefourfive can’t fuck with banksy anymore. Writers are catching life sentences in NY when they get nabbed but people see a banksy and it gets covered in bulletproof glass to protect it. whack.

The MTA vs TKO in Los Ángeles was a real intense beef shootings. LA graffiti writers were going through a gang banging phase during the 90S. KAM was a graffiti crew but ended being KAM 13 a straight up Mexican sureño gang. LA graffiti dudes don’t play .
