You need a sweetener that caramelizes for this to work, Allulose, Tagatose or Pentose(a brand new sweetener, can be bought from BochaSweet), they are pretty expensive but worth it if you want something that is very close to the real deal. If you use other common sweeteners like erythritol or monkfruit you'll get yourself a plate of crunchy grainy stuff. I made some caramel today with allulose, it became the sticky stuff that you would expect from real sugar!

Made this caramel sauce today (9/25/21). I was surprised at how quickly the Allulose began to melt; much faster than sugar. Other than that it came together well and tasted divine. Poured it over a coconut cream cheese pound cake, keto of course, and it was awesome. Thanks for your efforts. Darlington, South Carolina

I tried this with coconut sugar and surprisingly it worked!! The only thing I changed was adding water to the coconut sugar so that it didn’t burn

Just a note; You didnt mention what the sweetener is or how much butter and heavy cream is used because it seems like you added butter in 2 times. To anyone wondering the sweetener she probably used is Allouse as this carmelizes, and i think she used 1 stick of butter, half at the beginning after the allouse melts and half after that, or she just added 1 stick of butter all at once after the allouse melts? Goat milk is what makes it cajete or dulce de leche...otherwise its plain caramel sauce. Looks good though and i love that you made a healthier recipe than traditional caramel mash Allah , please correct me if I made mistakes (lady who made this video ❤).

You should try putting the butter on the cold bun and then toasting it in the pan. It will give your bun a crispy crunch and melt the butter down into the bun.

I tried your chocolate brownie recipe last week but didn't do the caramel. The brownies were epically good. Can you use coconut sugar or brown allulose sweetener, powdered allulose sweetener or powdered monk fruit sweetener or classic monk fruit sweetener or golden monk fruit sweetener or brown monk fruit sweetener. The monk fruit sweetener is lakanto and is with erythritol for all the kinds or they have the golden and classic with allulose but no powdered or brown would any of those be fine for this. And I know other brands do have powdered and brown monk fruit sweetener with allulose for the brown I know wholesome yum Nature’s besti sugar replacement does the brown and powdered. And other brands like whole earth, swerve, keystone pantry, truvia, micro ingredients, Anthony’s, Dr. Murray’s, Bocha Sweet, Sunkrin Gold, ETC….Would any of these work for this. Would (oat or coconut or almond or any nut or any dairy free) alternative milk heavy cream work for this that is in a can.
