One interesting tactic that I think toriyama used was just using his tastes and distastes for conceiving things. Vegeta was a mashup of things he hated in a person, appearance wise and personality wise, such as his widows peak, short stature, up ward hair, and his ego. Similarly frieza was created from a mash up of most of the things that scared him.

Vegeta was the complete opposite to Toriyama, like you said he was egotistical and toriyama was a reserved person

I wanted to say rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. There really aren’t any words I can think of to describe the pain this loss has brought to not just me, but millions of people around the world. Toriyama was such an amazingly creative person who really did create something unique and special with Dragon Ball. I can only imagine how he must have felt knowing he created the most popular anime and manga of all time and it’s amazing how he was able to create such a unique story all the way back in 1984 and have it still be so unbelievably popular all these years later. And it’s especially saddening given how this is technically the 40th anniversary of the entire Dragon Ball franchise overall. And it’s incredible how he helped inspire so many other anime and manga creators like Eiichiro Oda with One Piece, Masashi Kishimoto with Naruto, Tite Kubo with Bleach and so, so, so many more. Another tragic part to all this is that we’ve lost so many amazing manga artists these last few years like Kentaro Miura and Kazuki Takahashi and now we’ve lost the most well known of them all. I really do need to thank Toriyama for everything he’s done with creating this franchise and these amazing characters like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and so many others. I only got into Dragon Ball back in 2017 and I can say I understand why it’s as gigantically popular as it is with so many amazing and iconic moments. It’s also amazing how this franchise seems very simplistic compared to other mangas and yet it’s still hailed as amazing all these years later. It’ll be tragic to watch Dragon Ball Daima this year knowing it’s the last thing he ever worked on. Overall, I just want to say, thank you for everything Akira Toriyama and rest in peace.

Toriyama didn't like live adaptation... I don't like either.... The fact that jst to make money u ruin a shows' legacy is really dumb... That's why Toriyama is a legend 👑👑👑👑👑 Live adaptation is a cheap copy of a masterpiece.... Hollywood should not even touch anime... They humiliate themselves.. Lol... Not everything is about money...
